Centra przetwarzania danych zużywają znaczne ilości energii - ok. 55% na procesy obliczeniowe, czyli funkcjonowanie infrastruktury IT, i ok. 40% na jej chłodzenie. Pomimo ciągłego poprawiania ich efektywności energetycznej i zwiększania temperatur, w których centra danych mogą poprawnie pracować, rosnąca gęstość obliczeniowa serwerów i coraz większa liczba upalnych dni sprawiają, że zapotrzebowanie na energię tych obiektów jest wciąż duże. Dla ich bilansu energetycznego niezbędne jest wykorzystanie odnawialnych źródeł energii i jej odzysk (reuse) oraz rozsądne gospodarowanie zasobami, np. wodą.

The scientific considerations outlined in this article address the threat to the cyber security quality system arising from unclear security standards implemented by China. Over the past few years, the Chinese government has imposed almost 300 new national cyber security standards. These norms cover a variety of information and communication technology (ICT) services as well as products, including software, routers, switches and firewalls. This standardization increases the threat to the cybersecurity quality system, and the more the US places pressure on the western world for Chinese companies investing outside China and on western firms trading in China, the more difficult the situation becomes. The aim of this assessment is to identify these threats, which are also difficulties encountered by Western companies trying to develop their operations in China in order to minimize them. The study was compiled as an analysis of Chinese cybersecurity standardization policy documents and their confrontation with the practice of foreign businesses and as an analysis of international reports and standardization documents on cybersecurity. The theoretical investigative methods used in this paper are: synthesis, analysis, abstraction and generalization.

Autorzy omawiają zasadnicze trendy rozwoju NATO wynikające z nowych obszarów zainteresowania Sojuszu oraz jego potrzeb. Wskazują na znaczenie digitalizacji systemów łączności i informatyki dla wymiany informacji oraz wzmacniania cyberbezpieczeństwa, a także na wieloaspektowość obszarów zmian. Określają priorytety związane z oczekiwanymi kierunkami przeobrażeń w systemach wywiadu, inwigilacji i rozpoznania (ISR), podkreślają znaczenie big data oraz sztucznej inteligencji w komunikacji NATO, przedstawiają kierunki zmian w edukacji i szkoleniu wojsk, a także wyzwania techniczne w związku z działaniami w Arktyce. Zwracają również uwagę na konieczność modernizacji techniki lotniczej i rakietowej.

The study presents the most important issues concerning the main development trends of the North Atlantic Alliance resulting from new areas of interest and NATO needs. The importance of digitalization of communication and information systems for the functioning of information exchange and cybersecurity improvement was emphasized, the multi-aspect nature of change areas was indicated by defining the main priorities concerning expected directions of transformation in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) systems, the importance of Big DATA and artificial intelligence in NATO communications, trends changes in education and training of troops, as well as technical challenges related to operations in the Arctic. Attention was also paid to the aspect of the need to modernize aviation and missile technology. It is only the synthesis of the abovementioned problems that allows a comprehensive approach to the issue being the subject of the authors' deliberations.
