W zagospodarowaniu terenów bardzo ważna jest informacja o terenie pogórniczym. W pracy przedstawiono aktualnie możliwe do wykorzystania systemy informacji o terenie pogórniczym i dawnym, historycznym górnictwie prowadzonym na ziemiach polskich. System ARCHIWUM stworzony był głównie dla dokumentów kartograficznych i tekstowych kopalń likwidowanych pod koniec ubiegłego wieku i współcześnie. Archiwum posiada także zbiór map historycznych, lecz nie są one jeszcze opracowane numerycznie. Archiwum udostępnia odpłatnie odbitki kserograficzne lub skany map. Zamówienie na usługę składa się na specjalnych formularzach i po upływie wyznaczonego przez archiwum terminu można zgłosić się po zamówiony materiał. System MICARIS (dostępny w Internecie, opracowany zgodnie z dyrektywą INSPIRE) przeznaczony jest dla map i pól górniczych sprzed 1960 roku, które dotyczą współczesnych ziem polskich. Po zalogowaniu się do systemu www.micaris.gis.edu.pl i wpisaniu w okienku Co?: tytułu mapy lub: miejscowości, języka, w którym wykonano mapę, współrzędnych geograficznych narożników mapy, nazwy pola górniczego (bądź innych atrybutów) uzyskuje się momentalnie najważniejsze informacje o mapie czy polu górniczym, miejsca przechowywania oryginału mapy itp. W systemie tym umieszczono aktualnie opisy około 2 700 map górniczych i 1100 pól górniczych.

In the terrain management it is very important to have the information on post-mining areas. The article presents the applicable nowadays information systems on post-mining areas and old historic mining, carried out in the area of today’s Poland. These are: The system of ARCHIWUM of the State Mining Authority in Katowice, The system of MICARIS (Mine Cartography Information System) created in AGH-UST in Kraków. The ARCHIWUM system was created mainly for cartographic and text documents of mines, which were closed at the end of the 20 th century and/or contemporarily. The archives of the system possesses above 20 thousand archival maps of the mines contemporarily closed as well as a set of historical maps, but they have not been digitalized yet. The archives makes photocopies or scans of maps available for a payment. The order for this service is made on special forms available in the Internet, and after the date indicated by the archives – the ordered material can be obtained. The MICARIS system (available in the Internet, created according to the INSPIRE directive) is designed for maps and mining fields before 1960 referring to the area of contemporary Poland. After logging into the system www. micaris.gis.edu.pl and typing in the window Co?: the title of the map or locality, language in which the map was made, geographic co-ordinates of the map, the name of the mining field (or other attributes), the most important information about the map or mining field (e.g. the place of the original of the map) can be obtained immediately. This system contains the up-dated descriptions of 2700 mining maps and 1100 mining fields.
