W artykule opisano cele oraz rezultaty dwóch projektów edukacyjnych realizowanych przez Warszawską Wyższą Szkołę Informatyki. Szczególne miejsce zostało poświęcone innowacyjnym programom nauczania oraz metodom kształcenia odwołującym się do interdyscyplinarnego postrzegania nauki. Dziedziny objęte projektami to: informatyka oraz przedmioty matematyczne i przyrodnicze. Przedsięwzięcia przedstawiono w kontekście działań Ministerstwa Edukacji Narodowej na rzecz poprawy jakości edukacji realizowanych w ramach Priorytetu III Programu Operacyjnego Kapitał Ludzki.

The article describes the objectives and the results of two educational projects implemented by Warsaw School of Computer Science. A special place was devoted to innovative educational programs as well as teaching methods related to interdisciplinary perception of science. The projects encompassed the following branches of science: computer science, mathematics and natural sciences. The project activities were undertaken under Priority III of the Operational Programme Human Capital for improving the quality of education initiated by the Ministry of National Education.

Zwrócono uwagę na potrzebę kształcenia kompetencji informacyjnych u ludzi dorosłych. Wskazano wspólne obszary zainteresowań nauki o informacji i andragogiki. Zaakcentowano wpływ edukacji informacyjnej na jakość życia człowieka dorosłego i znaczenie wychowania dojrzałych informacyjnie obywateli. Za cel tego wychowania uznano kształtowanie kultury informacyjnej jednostki, nieodzownej w procesie uczenia się dla przyszłości. Uznano, że edukacyjna aktywność dorosłych w procesie kształcenia i wychowania stanowi podstawowy element edukacji dorosłych. W obszarze tym mieści się edukacja informacyjna ułatwiająca podejmowanie aktywności oraz kultura informacyjna jednostki normująca relacje pomiędzy uczestnikami procesu informacyjnego. Marginalizowany jest natomiast problem edukacji dorosłych wkraczających w okres rozwoju określany przez psychologów jako etap kompensacji. Gotowość nabywania wiedzy przez emerytów na etapie kompensacji daje im poczucie rozwoju i podnosi samoocenę. Dlatego aktywność edukacyjna spełnia rolę adaptacyjną, poprawiając jakość życia i umożliwiając przynależność do nowych społeczności. Niestety osoby w późnym okresie dorosłości odkrywają, że brak im wielu kompetencji i wiedzy, aby swobodnie poruszać się w zmienionym świecie, a brak nawyku permanentnego kształcenia się i ciągłego poszukiwania informacji utrudnia proces adaptacji w cyfrowej rzeczywistości.

It noted the need for teaching information literacy skills to adults. The common areas of interest for information science and andragogy were identified. The influence of information teaching on the adults’ quality of life and the importance of education of the mature, information-literate citizens was emphasised. The purpose of this education is shaping the individual’s informational culture, indispensable in the learning process for the future. The adults’ educational activity in the process of education and training was considered to be fundamental for adult education. In this area we distinguish information literacy education, facilitating first steps in the activity, and the information culture of the individual, regulating the relations between the participants of the information process. The problem of education of adults entering the stage of human development defined by the psychologists as “compensation mechanism”. The readiness to acquire knowledge of pensioners who entered the compensation phase gives them the feeling of development and enhances their self-esteem. This is why educational activity plays the adaptational role, enhances the quality of life and enables membership in new communities. Unfortunately, some people in their late adulthood discover that they lack a lot of competence and knowledge, which make it difficult for them to move around the changed world. A lack of habit of permanent learning and constant searching for information obstruct their adaptation process in th digital reality.

The article presents selected problems related Microsoft PowerPoint using in teaching-learning process in the area of information technology. It introduces following subject fields: 1. Indication of curriculum of information technology subject in relation to the presentations design. 2. Possibilities and functions of the PowerPoint program (the automatic slide-show, the interactive presentation , converting of the presentation to the hypertext markup language file). 3. Recommendations concerning design of the multimedia presentations and carrying on the show (guidelines concerning: desirable features of the presentation, text, font style and size, colour, sound).

Nowadays security of information and data play an important role in the life. Number of computers and people who use them increases much from day to day, therefore electronic way of keeping and sending information is so popular. This is one of the most important reasons why in computer science subject it is necessary to have a some course of Cryptography and Safety Systems. In this paper we will investigate some reasons why it is so important for students in schools. Other reason why it is worth start teaching PGP System in schools is that this system is very simple in use. The instalation and generation keys is very easy that every students will have no problems with them. We also suggest to introduced with Electronic Sign which becomes very popular in many institutions. Below we will define and discuss the rule of using, algorithms and law aspect of Electronic Sign. We will also recapitulate possibility and instalation process of PGP System.
