Optimal control of an Infinite Order Hyperbolic System with Multiple Time-Varying Lags

In this paper an optimal distributed control problem for an infinite order hyperbolic system in which different multiple time-varying lags appear both in the state equation and in the boundary condition is considered. Making use of Lion's scheme (Lions 1971), necessary and sufficient conditions of optimality for the Neumann problem with the quadratic performance functional and constrained control are derived.

W pracy rozważono problem rozłożonego sterowania optymalnego systemem hiperbolicznym nieskończonego rzędu z różnymi wielokrotnymi zmiennymi opóźnieniami czasowymi występującymi w równaniach stanu oraz w warunkach brzegowych typu Neumanna. Korzystając ze schematu Lionsa, wyprowadzono warunki konieczne i wystarczające optymalności przy kwadratowym wskaźniku jakości i ograniczeniach na sterowanie dla problemu brzegowego Neumanna.

In this paper, the time-optimal control problem for infinite order hyperbolic systems in which time delays appear in the integral form both in state equations and in boundary conditions is considered. Optimal controls are characterized in terms of an adjoint system and shown to be unique and bang-bang. These results extend to certain cases of nonlinear control problems. The particular properties of optimal control are discussed.

In this paper the time-optimal boundary control problem is presented for a distributed infinite order parabolic system in which time lags appear in the integral form both in the state equation and in the boundary condition. Some specific properties of the optimal control are discussed.
