The aim of the article is to present the concept and mechanism of Sales and Product configurator taking under consideration both benefits connected with its application and client and company's perspectives. The first part presents the main concepts of mass customization. The configurator as a tool supporting the application of the paradigm of mass individualization, presentation of a concept model as well as a discussion about how the configurator works are presented in the second part of this paper. The final part presents the examples of implemented solutions.
