Marine economy is a new economic form, emphasizing new development concept, new operation mechanism and management mode. In recent years, marine economy shows rapid growth, and marine industry presents a clustering development trend. The industrial linkage effect, industrial agglomeration effect and industrial radiation effect of the marine industrial cluster are important motive forces for the development of coastal cities. The marine industrial cluster takes coastal cities as the development platform and space, while the coastal cities achieve rapid and sustainable development based on the marine industrial cluster. The synergetic and coupling development of the marine industrial cluster and coastal cities is an important way for the promotion of industrial competitiveness and urban competitiveness. This paper developed a measure to identify the marine industrial cluster, designed the evaluation index of coupling of marine industrial cluster and coastal cities development from two perspectives of industrial linkage and spatial agglomeration, taking Shandong province, a typical coastal province in China, as an example, it studied the situation of the marine industrial cluster based on input-output data and data of marine enterprises of coastal cities, based on which it explored the coupling relationship between marine industrial cluster and coastal cities of Shandong province.

The paper studies a cooperative game, which is being played among the firms, involved in furniture industries, belonging to the same cluster. Due to the increased competition at the local and global levels, cooperation among the business entities is practically the only way to survive in the cluster. Consequently, a cooperative game model is proposed for the firms, associated in a vertical channel, where its performance indices are measured by one of its indicators of competitiveness at an entrepreneurial level versus the value of the cluster itself. As a case study, a competitive value analysis is done for the Colombian furniture cluster by indicating the characteristics and existing conditions of the cluster in the department of Atlantico in Colombia. Moreover, this paper analyzes and establishes an optimal feasible solution of cooperative game among the principal firms using Shapley value method.

The main goal of the paper is presentation of the existing in literature approaches to analysis of interorganizational relations in the clusters. Analysis of the relations enables to understand existing character of relations between entitles creating an industrial cluster or institutional network. The outcomes of the analysis could also be very useful for knowledge management by defining specialization of the cluster members and the cluster itself. The paper presents the review of approaches to mapping relations as well as consists the set of practical recommendation for analyzing relations - methodological proposals. They can be useful for optimization of institutional networks and clusters.

Podczas kiedy światowa gospodarka zmuszona jest w wyniku kryzysu finansowego na nowo zdefiniować się i określić swoje siły, od kilku lat trwa rozwój przemysłu energii odnawialnej, a szczególnie przemysłu, którego produkty służą do wykorzystywania energii wiatru. Liczne badania i ciągłe poszukiwanie nowych rozwiązań technicznych wskazują, jaki potencjał drzemie jeszcze w tym sektorze gospodarki.

While the world's economy, as a result of financial crisis, is forced to once again define itself and estimate its strength, the renewable energy industry is still developing, and especially this branch of it which is responsible for the design and production of wind energy installations. Numerous investigations and continuous search of new technical solutions show that a big potential is still hidden in this industrial sector.

A method allowing assessing industrial networks holistically and thus allowing to select best practice examples is presented and applied to a European wide study of industrial networks and clusters. Applying this method to a specific local area can support decisions on which research and political directions should be pursued in order to propose solutions and approaches to support cooperation in industrial networks and clusters. This research is situated within the wider context of designing and managing large-scale multi-functional multi-agent Collaborative Demand & Supply Networks.

Authors describe clusters as basic components of regional innovative system in the paper. Social capital and entrepreneurship are theorized to be key features of the clusters as networks of inter-organizational relations. Social capital is described on the base of four-dimensional model, including: structural social capital, cognitive social capital, cultural social capital (trust), and strategic social capital. While structural and cognitive dimensions of social capital are considered as mechanisms of process of social capital shaping, trust is treated as the main measure of value of social capital. Strategic social capital is the dynamic variable that shows the increase of social capital in a given period of time. Entrepreneurship, as the second feature of cluster, is considered in the context of entrepreneurial behaviors of organizations in the cluster. These behaviors are measured using four-dimensional model, including: innovativeness, strategic orientation, ethics, and willingness to take a risk. Authors argue that social capital of cluster enhances the entrepreneurial behaviors of organizations in the cluster. The above theoretical considerations are verified drawing on the case analysis of implementation process of Regional Innovative Strategy in Silesian Voivodship (region in southern Poland) - "RIS-Silesia". The project on clusters building in Silesian Voivodship started in 2005 as a very important part of "RIS Silesia" implementation. During the works undertaken in this project the industrial group of medical instruments producers was identified as a potential cluster.
