Celem badawczym niniejszego artykułu jest identyfikacja zależności między migracją a terroryzmem. Jest to problematyka związana z obszarem nauk o bezpieczeństwie międzynarodowym. Dokonano charakterystyki podstawowych pojęć, sytuacji migracyjnej w Unii Europejskiej, przeanalizowano sposób działania terrorystów, w tym źródła finansowania terroryzmu oraz zaprezentowano metody przeciwdziałania terroryzmowi. Poddano analizie przykłady ataków terrorystycznych, w których sprawcą był obcokrajowiec. Opisano sytuację migracyjną we Francji oraz przedstawiono liczbę ataków, których dokonano w tym państwie. Autorka przytoczyła dwie metody wykorzystania migracji do dostępu do państwa, które ma być celem ataku terrorystycznego. W pracy zweryfikowana zostanie hipoteza, głosząca że migracja i terroryzm są ze sobą powiązane, a większy przepływ ludności powoduje wzrost liczby ataków terrorystycznych. Artykuł wskazuje jak można przeciwdziałać atakom terrorystycznym. Podkreślono, że niezwykle istotnym elementem walki państwa z terroryzmem jest zaszczepienie świadomości zagrożenia oraz konieczności alarmowania władzy o potencjalnym niebezpieczeństwie w społeczności międzynarodowej. W czasach, kiedy to Internet rządzi światem, a media społecznościowe są głównym komunikatorem, należy je wykorzystywać do zbierania informacji o terrorystach. Przy pisaniu artykułu posłużono się dwiema metodami badawczymi: systemową oraz historyczną. O wykorzystaniu metody systemowej zadecydował fakt, iż praca przedstawia analizę działalności terrorystycznej, rozumianej jako powiązany zbiór elementów. Posłużenie się metodą historyczną było konieczne ze względu na fakt przedstawienia przykładów zamachów terrorystycznych we Francji na przestrzeni ostatnich kilkunastu lat. W pracy można także wskazać relacje przyczynowo skutkowe. Ramy czasowe pracy obejmują okres od roku 2001 do dnia dzisiejszego. Analiza zagadnienia odnosi się do obszaru państw członkowskich Unii Europejskiej. Artykuł wypełnia lukę badawczą z zakresu badań nad terroryzmem i migracją. W literaturze przedmiotu brakuje publikacji opisujących współzależność, jaka istnieje między terroryzmem a migracją.

The research objective of the article is to identify the links between migration and terrorism. This is an issue related to the field of international security sciences. The main concepts, the migration situation in the European union were described, the way terrorists operate, including the sources of terrorist financing and methods of counter-terrorism were presented. Examples of terrorist attacks in which the perpetrator was a foreigner were analysed. The migration situation in France was described and the number of attacks that have been carried out in the country was presented. The author cited two methods of using migration to gain access to a country targeted by a terrorist attack. The thesis will verify the hypothesis the migration and terrorism are linked and that greater population movements cause an increase in the number of terrorist attacks. The article indicates how terrorist attacks can be countered. It stresses that an extremely important part of the state's fight against terrorism is to instil awareness of the threat and the need to alert authorities to the potential danger in the international community. At a time when the Internet rules the world and social media is the main communicator, it should be used to gather information about terrorists. Two research methods were used: systemic and historical.. the use of the systemic method was decided by the fact that the article presents an analysis of terrors activity, understood as a related set of elements. The use of the historical method was necessary due to the fact of presenting examples of terrorist attacks in France over the last dozen years. Cause and effect relationships can also be indicated in the work. The timeframe of the work covers the period from 2001 to the present day. The analysis of the issue refers to the area of European Union member states. The article fills a research gap in the field of terrorism and migration studies. The literature lacks publications describing the interdependence that exists between terrorism and migration.

The present paper is a supplement to the earlier report (Witkowski, Grotthus, 2011) from the intercultural research concerned with an ideal leader prototype from an immigrant’s perspective. In the present part, the authors focus consecutively on four groups of foreigners (Poland, Eastern Europe, Latin Europe, Latin America) working in Germany. Comparison of outstanding leader prototypes in the country of origin and Germany yielded significant differences in all groups.

Artykuł stanowi uzupełnienie poprzedniego raportu (Witkowski, Grotthus 2011) z międzykulturowych badań nad prototypem idealnego przywódcy, ujętych z perspektywy emigranta. W tej części autorzy koncentrują się kolejno na czterech grupach obcokrajowców (Polska, Europa Wschodnia, Europa Łacińska, Ameryka Łacińska) pracujących w Niemczech. Porównanie prototypów wybitnego przywódcy w odniesieniu do kraju wyjazdu (Niemiec) i swojego kraju pochodzenia wykazało istotne różnice w każdej z tych grup.
