W wyniku działającego silnego wiatru spowodowanego orkanem oraz bardzo złego stanu technicznego doszło do awarii stalowych iglic wieńczących zabytkowe kopuły budynku teatru. Po przeprowadzonej inwentaryzacji oraz analizie statyczno-wytrzymałościowej ponadstuletniej konstrukcji wsporczej, bazującej m.in. na badaniach spektrometrycznych i twardości, określono rzeczywisty stopień wytężenia elementów konstrukcyjnych oraz ich ubytki korozyjne. W artykule przedstawiono zaprojektowane i zastosowane rozwiązanie konstrukcyjne, które pozwoliło odtworzyć konstrukcję iglic, z zachowaniem ich walorów konserwatorskich, a także poprawne przekazanie obciążeń na nośne elementy konstrukcyjne wież budynku za pośrednictwem wewnętrznej konstrukcji wsporczej. Przedstawione rozwiązania konstrukcyjne dopasowane były również do technologicznych możliwości wykonania rekonstrukcji z użyciem technik alpinistycznych, biorąc pod uwagę usytuowanie obiektu oraz ciężar i rozmiary elementów.

As a result of strong winds caused by hurricane and generally poor technical condition of steel spires, crowning the historical domes of the theatre building, caused them to break down. An inventory and the static and strength analysis of the over one hundred-year-old supporting structure, based on e.g. the actual degree of stress of structural elements and their corrosion losses were determined on the basis of spectrometric and hardness tests. This article represents the designed and applied construction solution that allowed to recreate the spire structure, preserving their conservation values, as well as the correct transfer of loads to the load-bearing structural elements of the building towers through the internal supporting structure. The presented design solutions were also adapted to the technological possibilities of performing the reconstruction with the use of mountaineering techniques, taking into account the location of the object as well as the weight and size of the elements.

Artykuł dotyczy problematyki zużycia bocznego iglic w rozjazdach kolejowych. Na podstawie obserwacji i pomiarów zostały określone czynniki sprzyjające zużyciu bocznemu. Określono pomiary wykonywane przy badaniu zużycia bocznego iglic. Na praktycznym przykładzie zaprezentowano metodę wskazywania przyczyn zużycia bocznego iglic z uwzględnieniem zależności pomiędzy twardością iglic a zużyciem bocznym. Wymieniono metody zapobiegania nadmiernemu zużyciu iglic.

The article concerns the problems of wear of switch blades in switches. On the basis of observations and measurements, factors favoring lateral wear were determined. The measurements which are made when examining the lateral wear of the switch blades were determined. The practical example shows the method of indicating the causes of lateral wear of the switch blades, taking into account the dependence between the hardness of the needles and lateral wear. The methods of preventing the excessive wear of switch blades have been mentioned.

Impact of powders and sewing needles accelerated by explosion on various obstacles has been studied. Formation of channels up to 100 particle diameters in length has been observed when corundum and tungsten powders impacts on steel and duralumin at speeds up to 2 km/s. A mechanism of such super deep penetration of powder jets into metals has been proposed. The possibility of destroying by needles such objects as plexiglass blocks, antimeteorite screens, containers with elastic and explosive materials with a released energy exceeding the energy of needles has been shown. At impact speeds up to 400 m/s the depth of needles penetration into metals is 3-5 times higher than the one calculated for pointed rods at plastic work. The obtained results can be useful for modeling of impact of meteorites, space scraps and technological wasteson space aircrafts and their components.

Praca zawiera metodę i zakres pomiarów poprzecznych przemieszczeń i przyśpieszeń ruchomych części rozjazdu. Drgania poprzeczne mogą mieć związek z bezpieczeństwem ruchu ruchu. Drgania te powstają wskutek wymuszeń przejeżdżającymi pojazdami szynowymi. Pomiary wykonano w wybranych punktach iglic rozjazdu. Za obiekt badań przyjęto dwa rozjazdy o tym samym promieniu aktualnie eksploatowane. Jeden z nich jest nowej generacji, a drugi jest konstrukcji klasycznej. Praca kończy się wnioskami, które ujmują związek między prędkością wymuszeń i wartościami parametrów drgań oraz pozwalają na uzasadnienie bogatszego uzbrojenia rozjazdu nowej generacji.

A method and a measuring range of displacements and accelerations, transversal moving parts of railway turnouts are presented in this paper. Transversal vibrations are in exact relation with safety railway traffic. These vibrations are getting up from excitations of moving track vehicles. The measurements were made in specially selected points of needle turnout. For investigation object two presently used turnouts vere accepted of the same turning radius. One of them is a new generation but second one has classical construction. In finally conclusion is drawing the relation between velocity of excitation and the values of vibration parameters moreover explain the use of more complicated construction in turnouts of new generation.

The algorithm and the results of analysis of the passage of rail car bogie over a turnout are presented in the paper. Attention is focused on the influence of distance between the switch blade and the stock rail and on the possibility of wheels striking this switch blade. The results of this analysis can be useful in determining the permissible deviations of this distance and in further dynamics research.

W pracy przedstawiono algorytm i wyniki analizy przejazdu wózka wagonu przez rozjazd kolejowy. Główną uwagę skupiono na wpływie odległości między iglicą i opornicą na możliwość uderzeń kół o tę iglicę. Wyniki analizy mogą być pomocne przy określaniu dopuszczalnych odchyłek tej odległości oraz w dalszych badaniach dynamicznych.
