Content available remote The Effect of the Type of Mounting on Stability of a Hydraulic Telescopic Cylinder

This paper revolves around the boundary value problem regarding the stability of a telescopic hydraulic cylinder. The effect of its mounting type on the maximum load able to move without being damaged by buckling was examined. The formulation of the boundary problem was carried out on the basis of the static stability. The results were presented in a dimensionless form. The influence of the type of mounting of the telescopic hydraulic cylinder on the bearing capacity of the system was determined, taking into account changes in cylinder and seals thickness parameters and stiffness of connections between following elements. The results are presented for a three-stage and a five-stage hydraulic telescopic cylinder.

The operating field of hydrostatic drive system is presented. Subdivision of the hydraulic motor and pump work parameters into parameters independent of and dependent on the operation of displacement machines and the system is justified. A research project is proposed aimed at development of methods determining the energy characteristics of pumps and rotational hydraulic motors as well as modified methods of determining the energy characteristics of hydrostatic drive systems with selected structures of hydraulic motor speed control. The paper is an extended version of reference [11].

Omówiono sposób modernizacji silników hydraulicznych napędu jazdy transportera gąsienicowego. Przedstawiono stanowisko laboratoryjne i wyniki badań zaadaptowanych silników MSE11-1. Badania potwierdziły poprawną pracę i zalety nowej konstrukcji silnika.

The method of modernization of hydraulic motors in travelling mechanism of caterpillar transporter is presented. Experimental stand and tests of adapted motors are shown. The tests confirmed proper work and advantages of new motor construction.
