An Implication of Buddhist Ethical Teaching on Sustainable Development

Ethical teaching of religion has a significant impact on human action. Scripture has always been considered a guideline for human life. However, there is an argument that Buddhist philosophy is dysteleological. Therefore, it is difficult to argue for the virtuous action for protection or restore nature within the early Buddhist framework. This paper is an attempt to argue that Buddha has the main concern for Human suffering and he prescribed the solution or path to get rid of the suffering but there is a significant implication of Buddhist ethical teaching. Therefore, Buddhist ethical teaching can be a significant step towards sustainable development.

Etyczne nauczanie w ramach religii ma znaczący wpływ na ludzkie działanie. Pismo Święte zawsze było uważane za wskazówkę dotyczącą życia ludzkiego. Istnieje jednak argument, że filozofia buddyjska jest dysteleologiczna. Dlatego trudno jest argumentować za cnotliwym działaniem na rzecz ochrony lub przywrócenia natury we wczesnych ramach buddyjskich. Ten artykuł jest próbą argumentowania, że Budda koncentruje się głównie na ludzkim cierpieniu i z góry przewidział rozwiązanie lub ścieżkę pozbycia się tego cierpienia, dlatego buddyjskie nauczanie etyczne może być znaczącym krokiem w kierunku zrównoważonego rozwoju.

The article is devoted to the importance of the virtue of prudence and attempts to adapt it in the contemporary discourse on innovation and sustainable development. The authors come from ancient roots, recalling the positions of Socrates, Plato and, above all, Aristotle. They point to the renewed interest of contemporary researchers in the ethics of virtues and point to the important roles of prudence, prudence and responsibility in the approach to innovation. Innovations are captured as an instrumental value and a tool to shape better living conditions, work, study, rest, all forms of human activity and environmental protection. Therefore, their positive character has been exposed, although the authors also pay attention to the risk and possibility of negative effects if the virtues of nature, such as prudence, caution and responsibility are not well-formed. The authors point out that this is particularly important in the education of engineers who shape the innovative landscape of the present, and prove that this applies to mechatronics or robotics specialists, as well as production engineering specialists, because the ethical approach allows for the appropriate design of the entire team of activities from recognizing the need to satisfy it through an efficient, well-prepared, organized and properly managed production process, taking into account the basic principles of sustainable development.

Human action recognition using simple geometric features and a finite state machine

In this paper a human action recognition algorithm, which uses background generation with shadow elimination, silhouette description based on simple geometrical features and a finite state machine for recognizing particular actions is described. The performed tests indicate that this approach obtains a 81 % correct recognition rate allowing real-time image processing of a 360 X 288 video stream.

Much has been written about the origins and contagious processes that led to the subprime crisis of 2007 first and to the financial crisis thereafter that characterize financial markets ever since. This retrospective is designed to illustrate that it has been human action in the very entrepreneurial or managerial sense that has caused the financial crisis to emanate and spread. From this viewpoint, responsible actors can be identified not only within financial intermediaries, but as bureaucratic and political entrepreneurs within public institutions as well.

Wiele już napisano na temat pochodzenia procesów, które doprowadziły do kryzysu typu sub-prime w roku 2007, i kryzysu późniejszego którego skutki do tej pory są odczuwalne na rynkach finansowych. Przedstawiona w niniejszym artykule retrospektywa została zaprojektowana w celu zilustrowania iż przyczyną kryzysów było działanie człowieka bardzo przedsiębiorczego lub na stanowisku kierowniczym, spowodował on kryzys finansowy aby móc się dalej rozwijać i prowadzić działania. Z tego punktu widzenia, podmiotami odpowiedzialnymi są nie tylko pośrednicy ale także biurokraci czy polityczni przedsiębiorcy w instytucjach publicznych.

The formal system model of technology, developed by German engineer and philosopher G. Ropohl, is filled with mechatronic contents. In the model the elements of human and social sciences are tied with element of natural and technical sciences. Two central system concepts - system of actions and system of things - are used in this context. A general model of mechatronic action system is developed. This abstract mechatronic action model is interpreted empirically to model which can be identified with a mechatronic device.
