The paper presents a new method for temperature compensation in a hot-wire anemometer. This is a further development of the approach suggested by (Kiełbasa, 1991), (Kiełbasa and Ligęza, 1991) and (Ligęza, 1993) where the hot wire was connected in the bridge circuit supplied with linearly increasing voltage. In the branch opposite the hot wire there are two resistors so chosen that with the first of them the bridge will be zeroed while the wire is less heated, with the other resistor it will happen when the wire is heated more. Comparators connected to the resistors allow for measuring the currents flowing through the hot wire at the instants when the voltage across the measuring diagonal passes through zero. These two currents make it possible to determine flow velocity.
