W artykule omówiono badania sztywności zginania tektur z rdzeniem o strukturze plastra miodu. Wyniki pomiarów wykonane metodą trzypunktową porównano z wynikami obliczeń dwiema metodami. Jedna z zaproponowanych metod, oparta na analitycznej zależności pomiędzy sztywnością zginania a parametrami geometrycznymi przekroju tektury i modułem Younga, pozwala na teoretyczne wyznaczenie BS w fazie projektowania tektury. Druga metoda umożliwia przewidywanie wartości sztywności zginania tektur z warstwami pokryciowymi wykonanymi z konkretnego materiału na podstawie pomiarów BS dwóch tektur o warstwach pokryciowych z tego samego materiału i różnych grubościach.

The article discusses bending stiffness tests of the honeycomb cardboard core. The results of measurements made by the three point method were compared to the results of calculations with the use of two methods. One of the methods proposed, based on the analytical relationships between bending stiffness and geometrical parameters of the cross-section of paperboard and Young’s modulus allows to determine theoretically the BS in the phase of board design. The second method allows to predict the bending stiffness of cardboard with liner layers made of a particular material on the basis of the BS measurements for two boards with top layers made of this material and having different thickness.

Strength properties of corner joints and extending joints on honeycomb boards. This article deals with strength characteristics of furniture joints, which are made of honeycomb boards. We were determining load carrying capacity, deformation and stiffness of three-types corner joints, which loaded stress and tension by moment in angular plane, and two-types extending joints in the plane of the board by static four-point bending load. For corner joints we used furniture fittings VB 36 HT 50, VB INSERT 50, TAB 20 HC and for extending joints that we used fittings AVB HT a QUICK. The results of experiments and calculations are compared with classical joints which are made of wood-based materials. Strength properties of joints which are made of honeycomb boards are lower than average values of classical joints. Furniture joints which used fittings AVB HT and QUICK reached above the average load carrying capacity on the load by stress and furniture joint TAB 20 HC on the load by tension.
