Application of Markov model for determination of average lifetime of a transformer distribution system

The study presents an analysis of the operation process of elements of a system for electrical energy transformation in natural conditions of their usage. The research object is a system of HV and MV distribution transformer operation. The method of construction and an example of the Markov operation process have been presented for the analyzed technical objects. The model of the operation process was built on the basis of analysis of spatial states and events involved in operation of the analyzed technical objects. An average lifetime of the analyzed technical system was determined for assumptions accepted for a stochastic process which is a mathematical model of the distribution transformer operation process.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę procesu eksploatacji elementów systemu transformacji energii elektrycznej w naturalnych warunkach ich użytkowania. Przedmiotem badań jest układ pracy transformatorów rozdzielczych wysokiego i średniego napięcia. Przedstawiono metodę budowy oraz przykład procesu eksploatacji Markowa dla analizowanych obiektów technicznych. Model procesu eksploatacji został zbudowany na podstawie analizy stanów przestrzennych i zdarzeń związanych z eksploatacją analizowanych obiektów technicznych. Wyznaczono średni czas życia analizowanego system technicznego, biorąc pod uwagę założenia przyjęte dla procesu stochastycznego, który jest modelem matematycznym procesu eksploatacji transformatorów rozdzielczych.

A stochastic model of changes in the operational states of means of transport

In the article, application of a Markov process for modelling the process of transport means operational state changes whose duration times can be estimated by Erlang distribution is presented. The research object is a system of city bus transport operation, used in a selected agglomeration. A homogenous Markov process was assumed a mathematical model of the process of transport means operation. Transformation of a stochastic process, for which distributions of random variables denoting duration times of the states are Erlang distributions, into a stochastic process characterized by exponential distribution of the state duration times, was performed at the costs of the state space extension. The use of a homogeneous Markov process for mathematical modelling of the operation process was dictated by the fact that the process reflects adequately, from the point of view of the research goal, the real operation process. In order to illustrate the process, a hypothetical, simplified calculation example was provided. Reliability of technical objects needs to be maintained at appropriate level, which is the responsibility of the repair and maintenance subsystem ensuring. This subsystem consists of two subsystems. The main tasks of the mobile emergency teams include providing vehicles, that is, buses that are outside the depot with the serviceability state as quickly as possible or hauling damaged buses to technical service stations.

Przedstawiono Markowski model procesu rezerwowania objektów technicznych. W wyniku diagnozy i genezy stanów systemu wyznaczono intensywności przejść między wyróżnionymi stanami. Analiza wyników badań zbudowanego modelu umożliwia wyznaczenie minimalnej liczby rezerwowych objektów technicznych przy zmianie analizowanych parametrów. Całość rozważań zilustrowano przykładem obliczeniowym.

The paper presents a Markov model of the reservation process designed for technical objects. The values of the intensity of passes between chosen states were found as a results of the diagnosis and genesis of the system states. The analysis of the research results, concerning this model, enables to calculate the minimum number of reserve technical objects under changes of the level of analysed parameters. All the considerations are exemplified with computations.
