Współczesne wymagania stawiane systemom wytwarzania wymagają zmiany dotychczasowego podejścia do procesu ich organizacji, efektem którego jest struktura systemu. Artykuł przedstawia teorię holonu i jej wykorzystanie w procesie organizacji systemów wytwarzania. Istniejące rozwiązania w tym zakresie, w szczególności związane są z sieciową formą zorganizowania systemu wytwarzania opartego na kooperacjach wewnętrznych. Istnieje natomiast potrzeba oceny możliwości ich wykorzystania do organizacji sieciowego systemu wytwarzania w warunkach rozproszenia zasobów.

Today’s requirements for manufacturing systems need to change the existing approach to their organization process, the result of which is the structure of the system. This paper shows theory of holon and their implication in process of organization manufacturing systems. Existing solutions in this field, in particular are connected with network manufacturing systems, which are based on internal cooperation. However, there is a need to assess the possibility of their use for the organization of a network manufacturing system under dispersion of resources.
The paper deals with the problem of the control of a repetitive production. The problem results from the customer demand and competition on modern markets. The approach proposed in this paper consists in defining of the dispatching rule coordinating behaviour of the system elements. The approach is compared with the biological and holonic approaches to the manufacturing problem. An example illustrating the presented approach is presented.

One of the major requirements of agile manufacturing strategies for the 21st century is to introduce intelligent information technology into manufacturing. The objective of the paper is to define a framework for development of simulation system for modelling of distributed manufacturing structures. The overview of main approaches to distributed manufacturing is given and their main features are highlighted. The paper focuses to holonic manufacturing concept. Aggregation of complex manufacturing structures [3] together with concept of distributed simulation [8] was used for putting forward a multi-agent simulation architecture. The proposed concept is expected to provide the framework for further research addressing fundamental issues of multi-agent manufacturing structures. It was verified through development of a pilot simulation system and subsequent experimentation with it.
