W artykule przedstawiono historię kwartalnika "Silniki Spalinowe " wydawanego w latach 1961-1999 przezfirmę H. Cegielski -Poznań pod patronatem Sekcji Silników Spalinowych SIMP. Opisano okoliczności w jakich powstawało pismo i jego komitet redakcyjny oraz ważniejsze zmiany w komitecie redakcyjnym. Omówiono profil pisma i ważniejsze numery specjalne kwartalnika.

In this paper the authors have presented the history of the quarterly magazine "Internal Combustion Engines" edited in the years 1961-1999, under the auspices of Combustion Engines Section of SIMP. The publisher was H. Cegielski Works in Poznań. The paper contains information on the start of this publication, its editorial board and changes in the board. It gives also some information on the scope as well as on some special numbers of the magazine.
