On 30 November A2 motorway from Nowy Tomyśl to Świecko was officially open. Since 1 December, drivers can use almost 106 km of concrete motorway. Time of travel from Poznań to Berlin is now about 2 hours and from Poznań to Świecko 1.5 hour, instead of 4 hours like it used to be. Until 21 May next year, transit will be free of charge. This venture is exceptional, not only due to the length of road opened at single time, but also because of the applied modern concrete technology that provides high standard, durability and strength of the pavement. Application of concrete as a main building material causes that the pavement is more durable and resistant to variable weather conditions.
