When Lithuania joined the European Union, ensuring the road traffic safety became one of the most important problems. In Lithuania, official data collection is arranged if a traffic event caused an injury or a death of a traffic participant. In addition, the total number of traffic events is calculated. However, no data on tangible damage caused by a traffic event are fixed, if the event caused such damage only. In addition, there are no official data on traffic events where nobody suffers and the traffic participants agree on the circumstances of the event. For systematization of collected data, certain data accounting measures are applied and the results are provided to the final data managers. This article consist of theoretical and practical research on the factors that predeterminate the accident rate in Lithuania heavy transport sector.

The role of railway network in the internal passenger and heavy traffic is continuously decreasing. Regarding the number of passengers, proportion of the railway out of the internal passenger transport was more than 20% less in 2000. The railway passenger transportation suffered a setback in shorter distances in the last decades. In case of railway transportation of goods both the carriage distance and the quantity of goods have decreased. Content of the load has changed, too. Comparing to the previous one, quantity of the transported building materials, metal waste, ores and coal etc. lessened. In contrast with it proportion of agricultural products, machines has increased. It is worth examining the changes in connection with the passenger and heavy traffic in the last few years not only in country level but in the level of several settlements, as well. In settlements’ life a transportation route of the infrastructural sphere plays an important role. In this essay it is aiming to examine the changes in railway traffic of town Mezohegyes, a settlement on the Southern part of the Hungarian Plain, between 1990 and 2006. Research work of this kind has been carried out about town Mezohegyes earlier.

Rola sieci kolejowej w wewnętrznym ruchu pasażerskim, nawet biorąc pod uwagę duży ruch uliczny ciągle maleje. Zależnie od liczby pasażerów proporcje ruchu kolejowego w stosunku do zewnętrznego transportu pasażerskiego były o 20% mniejsze niż w roku 2000. Kolejowy transport pasażerski cierpiał z powodu regresu popularności w ostatnich dekadach, szczególnie na krótkich dystansach. W przypadku kolejowego transportu towarów, zarówno odległości przewozów jak i ilości towarów zmalały. Zawartość ładunków także się zmieniła. W porównaniu do wcześniejszych typów ładunków ilość materiałów budowlanych, złomu, rud oraz węgla zmalała. Wzrosła natomiast ilość transportowanych tą drogą produktów rolnych oraz maszyn. Warto, więc przeanalizować zmiany w ruchu pasażerskim oraz w transporcie ciężkim w ostatnich latach nie tylko na poziomie krajowym, ale i na poziomie kilku obszarów zaludnionych. W funkcjonowaniu danego obszaru, sfera infrastruktury pełni ważną rolę. W niniejszej pracy celem jest analiza zmian ruchu kolejowego w mieście Mezohegves, miejscowości w południowej części Niziny Węgierskiej w latach od 1990 do 2006. Badania tego typu zostały przeprowadzone w odniesieniu do tego miasta już wcześniej.

Content available Design of a frame to a semi low-loader

The paper presents the process of design of a frame for a semi low loader for the transportation of oversize loads, especially wheeled and tracked machines. After considering different solutions of a frame, a central beam was chosen and an initial design was developed. The initial model of the frame was analyzed with the use of FEM and was then modified. Two final versions of the frame were prepared. One of them was used in a 4 axle trailer with a load deck that can be extended in length and width to carry oversize and heavy loads. An important advantage of the trailer is its versatility and the fact that in a non-extended state it meets the regulations for standard trailers and can carry loads without a special permission. The paper focuses on the application of FEM analysis in the design of the part of the beam where highest stresses were located. A design solution for a ladder frame, a schematic image of a box-type central beam, a design solution for rear ramps, geometrical models of semitrailer frame with boundary conditions, stress distributions in a non-extended and extended frame model, a section of the rear part of the frame with sliding plates visible and a pin guide bar for blocking frame extension, stress distribution in the front part of the frame, single and double supporting rib, side wall supporting plate and stress distribution after the use of plates and one supporting rib, stress distribution after the employment of plates and two supporting ribs, stress distribution in the alternative gooseneck design, main dimensions of the semitrailer, extended semitrailer are presented in the paper.
