The mining mobile inspective robot is designed for monitoring explosive hazardous environments, where unknown gas mixtures consisting of explosive, toxic and suffocating gases can be present. This situation is often observed in mining hard coal excavations where inertia processes are carried out during or after a fire. Then the gas mixtures include, among others, significant concentrations of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and methane. In the paper the principle of operations and the robot assemblies which consist of mechanical, electronic, pneumatic and software elements were described. Furthermore in the paper initial traction tests of the robot were discussed.

W artykule przedstawiono podstawowe informacje dotyczące: Dyrektyw Atex, w szczególności odnoszących się do urządzeń elektrycznych i elektronicznych pracujących w obszarze występowania acetylenu, statystyki zdarzeń odnotowanych przez PSP z udziałem butli acetylenowych, właściwości oraz stwarzanych przez acetylen zagrożeń i sposobu jego magazynowania. Artykuł zawiera informacje dotyczące proponowanych technik i taktyki działań ratowniczych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem aspektów bezpieczeństwa, w przypadku wystąpienia zdarzeń z udziałem butli acetylenowych poddanych działaniu ognia, ciepła, uderzeniom. W opracowaniu odniesiono się do kwestii właściwego doboru, przez ratowników, sprzętu łączności i oświetleniowego w przestrzeniach występowania zagrożenia wybuchem.

The paper presents basic Information on: Atex Directives, in particular those relating to electrical and electronic equipment operating in the presence of acetylene, statistics recorded by the State Fire Service (PSP) events involving acetylene cylinders, characteristics and hazards created by acetylene as well as a way of its storing. The article contains Information on the proposed techniques and tactics of rescue operations, with particular emphasis on safety in case of incidents involving acetylene cylinders exposed to fire, heat and shock. In this paper reference was made to the proper se-lection of communication and lighting equipment by rescuers, in the presence of potentially explosive areas.
