Paper presents the results of the investigations on the preparation of oxide coatings on aluminum alloy EN AW-2017A containing 3.5÷4.5% of copper as the main alloying component by anodic oxidation. Anodization was conducted in the baths composed of sulfuric(VI) acid, oxalic acid, tartaric acid and binary mixtures of these acids. Thickest coatings, showing at the same time best corrosion resistance, at the same electrolysis charge were obtained using the baths containing sulfuric(VI) acid or sulfuric(VI) acid with the addition of tartaric acid, at the temperature of 0Paper presents the results of the investigations on the preparation of oxide coatings on aluminum alloy EN AW-2017A containing 3.5÷4.5% of copper as the main alloying component by anodic oxidation.
