The objective of this study is to identify differences between the afforestation subsidies from European Union (EU) obtained by beneficiaries from Podlaskie and Wielkopolskie Voivodships (918 and 618 beneficiaries respectively) as part of RDP 2007-2013. The survey results showed faster increase of forest rate growth in Podlaskie Voivodship, which is classified as a less economically developed region. When compared to Wielkopolskie Voivodship, Podlaskie Voivodship received higher subsidies; nevertheless, the average sum obtained (in thousand EURO) per beneficiary was lower in Podlaskie than in Wielkopolskie.

The Polish power grid, transmission and distribution use to a large extent private properties as locations of their power lines and transformers. These grounds were taken in the past by the power of the communists or recently through negligence of the law. This paper reviews the most important regulations and shows the possible solutions. Some aspects of legal responsibilities are also discussed.

Energetyka zawodowa w znacznym stopniu korzysta z prywatnych gruntów, na których znajdują się napowietrzne linie energetyczne i transformatory. W artykule skomentowano najważniejsze zapisy prawne dotyczące zwrotu zajętych, wywłaszczonych lub zagarniętych nieruchomości oraz rekompensat za ich użytkowanie. Omówiono także ważniejsze elementy odpowiedzialności cywilnej właściciela infrastruktury energetycznej za związane z nią wypadki.

Industrial power engineering sector uses, to a considerable extent, private lands on which there are located overhead transmission lines and transformers. Commented are here the most important law provisions concerning the return of taken, expropriated or seized private properties and recompensation for their usage. Discussed are also the more important elements of civil responsibility of the energy infrastructure owner for the accidents caused by its installations.
