Single phase earth-fault in MV grids usually causes overvoltage that harm to human being and electric equipments. In 6kV mining grids of Vietnam, earth fault which is majority incident accounts 55% to 73% of the total faults. When earth fault occurs many grids’ eco-technical parameters will be affected. Moreover, the overvoltage and earthing current can lead to serious electric shock accidents caused mainly by stepping-overvoltage or touching-overvoltage. One of earthing relays requirements is to trip in minimum time duration in order to reduce the magnitude of earthing currents and overvoltage. Base on the simulation in Matlab, the paper suggests a prior connection diagram that allows an auto earthing-connection for improving the better performance of relays. The utilization of the diagram will help to decrease the tripping time of relays, reduce the amplitude of internal overvoltage as well as enhance the safety for human being in case of earthing incidents.

This note provides some minor corrections to the article [Acyclic sum-list-colouring of grids and other classes of graphs, Opuscula Math. 37, no. 4 (2017), 535-556].
EN
In this paper we consider list colouring of a graph G in which the sizes of lists assigned to different vertices can be different. We colour G from the lists in such a way that each colour class induces an acyclic graph. The aim is to find the smallest possible sum of all the list sizes, such that, according to the rules, G is colourable for any particular assignment of the lists of these sizes. This invariant is called the D1-sum-choice-number of G. In the paper we investigate the D1-sum-choice-number of graphs with small degrees. Especially, we give the exact value of the D1-sum-choice-number for each grid [formula], when at least one of the numbers n, rn is less than five, and for each generalized Petersen graph. Moreover, we present some results that estimate the D1-sum-choice-number of an arbitrary graph in terms of the decycling number, other graph invariants and special subgraphs.

This paper presents an overview of techniques developed to improve energy efficiency of grid and cloud computing. Power consumption models and energy usage proles are presented together with energy efficiency measuring methods. Modeling of computing dynamics is discussed from the viewpoint of system identication theory, indicating basic experiment design problems and challenges. Novel approaches to cluster and network-wide energy usage optimization are surveyed, including multi-level power and software control systems, energy-aware task scheduling, resource allocation algorithms and frameworks for backbone networks management. Software-development techniques and tools are also presented as a new promising way to reduce power consumption at the computing node level. Finally, energy-aware control mechanisms are presented. In addition, this paper introduces the example of batch scheduler based on ETC matrix approach.

Brak korelacji pomiędzy powyższymi badaniami utrudnia interpretację wyników badań korozyjnych w odniesieniu do właściwości i trwałości elektrycznej akumulatora. Pokazuje, że nie należy spodziewać się prostego przełożenia parametrów korozyjnych kratki na przewidywanie trwałości płyty.

The problem of the corrosion resistance of lead acid batteries is presented. The causes of grid corrosion and its impact on the performance characteristics of lead acid batteries are described. Along with the description, the examples of damage to the positive electrode caused by this process are shown. Moreover, a second aspect of the corrosion resistance of lead grids is presented. This aspect is related to the formation of oxide layers that are necessary for obtaining adhesive connections with the active mass during the manufacturing process of lead acid batteries. These layers are crucial to produce electrodes of high electrical performance. In addition, the research on the interdependency between the corrosive properties of grids and the cycle life of cells containing this type of grids was presented. On the one hand, the lack of correlation between the aforementioned studies inhibits the interpretation of the results of corrosion tests in terms of properties and electrical stability of the battery. On the other hand, it shows that a simple interpretation of the corrosion parameters of grids for predicting the stability of the plate should not be expected.

In this article we have presented a mechanism of antigen transformation as it occurs in the natural system. Using this mechanism as a base the article has defined paradigms which were used to determine algorithm decentralized clonal selection. The achievements results have been shown that the proposed mechanisms and the decentralized architecture consisting of computational nodes is calibrated and it can be successfully used in the distributed computational environments such as Grid and Clusters systems.

The digital gap prevents today in many parts of the world the diffusion of e-Science which is considered as one of the key enablers of progress and development in the 21st Century. On the other hand, investing in e-Infrastructures is the key for a long-term growth and changes in the Society in developing Countries. The paper discusses this topic and provides some details about the EUMEDGRID Project experience in the Mediterranean area.

Content available remote Interactive Systems with Registers and Voices
EN
We present a model and a core programming language appropriate for modeling and programming interactive computing systems. The model consists of rv-systems (interactive systems with registers and voices); it includes register machines, is space-time invariant, is compositional, may describe computations extending in both time and space, and is applicable to open, interactive systems. To achieve modularity in space the model uses voices (a voice is the time dual of a register) - they provide a high level organization of temporal data and are used to describe interaction interfaces of processes. The programming language uses novel techniques for syntax and semantics to support computation in space paradigm. We describe rv-programs and base their syntax and operational semantics on FIS-es (finite interactive systems) and their grid languages (a FIS is a kind of 2-dimensional automaton specifying both control and interaction used in rv-programs). We also present specification techniques for rv-systems, using relations between input registers and voices and their output counterparts. The paper includes simple specifications for an OO-system and for an interactive game.

Grid computing has recently gained in popularity. Grid applications can be very demanding of the data storage facilities in the Grid. The existing data grid services are often insufficient and additional optimization of the data access is necessary. This paper presents research concerning the optimization aspects of data management for Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) systems in the Grid.

In this paper we present the design of a Grid HLA Management System (GHMS) supporting execution of High Level Architecture-based interactive applications in a Grid environment, while at the same time allowing for running HLA legacy codes to preserve backward compatibility with the HLA standard. In particular, we describe the following system components: an HLA-Speaking Service for multiple federates that interface the HLA application to the system, a Monitoring Service integrated with the OCMG monitoring system and HLA-based Benchmark Services informing the Broker Service of what can be expected from the application's behavior.
