Rosnące zatłoczenie centrów miast, związane z tym zanieczyszczenie powietrza i hałas powodują dyskomfort mieszkańców. Należy więc propagować korzystanie z alternatywnych form transportu. Celem ogólnym artykułu jest pokazanie, jak zmiana sposobu podróżowania na ekologiczny wpływa na zmniejszenie ryzyka wypadku drogowego, jednocześnie stanowiąc element polityki zielonego transportu. Rozważania teoretyczne zawierają przegląd literatury – przedstawiono zasady zrównoważonego rozwoju, w tym zielonego transportu. Część empiryczna dotyczy badania, w jaki sposób cel zrównoważonego rozwoju SDG-13 pod nazwą „działania w dziedzinie ochrony klimatu” (takie jak ograniczenie korzystania z samochodów spalinowych) jest powiązany z bezpieczeństwem na drogach, stanowiącym element celu SDG-3 pod nazwą „dobre zdrowie i jakość życia”. Badanie wypadkowości na drogach w Polsce potwierdziło tezę o mniejszym ryzyku udziału w wypadku komunikacyjnym w przypadku poruszania się rowerem, motocyklem lub pieszo w porównaniu z kierowaniem samochodem osobowym, co może stanowić argument zachęcający do zmiany pojazdu ze spalinowego samochodu osobowego na bardziej ekologiczny i przyczyni się do realizacji celów zrównoważonego rozwoju w aspekcie środowiskowym.

The growing crowding of city centres and the related air and noise pollution cause discomfort for residents. The use of alternative forms of transport should be promoted. The general aim of the article is to show how changing the way of traveling to an ecological one reduces the risk of road accidents while constituting an element of the green transport policy. Theoretical considerations include a literature review and the principles of sustainable development, including green transport. The empirical part examines how the Sustainable Development Goal SDG-13 titled actions in the field of climate protection (such as limiting the use of combustion cars) is related to road safety, which is part of the SDG-3 goal: good health and quality of life. A study of road accidents in Poland confirmed the thesis that the risk of being involved in a traffic accident is lower when traveling by bicycle, motorcycle or on foot compared to driving a passenger car, which may be an argument encouraging employees and residents to change their vehicle from an internal combustion passenger car to a more ecological and at the same time, it will contribute to the implementation of sustainable development goals in the environmental aspect.

Green logistics is the part of the activities of an enterprise aimed at measuring and minimizing the impact of logistics activities on the environment. Such actions are dictated by the possibility of achieving a competitive advantage in the market, because clients require it. Transport is a particularly important area with a huge impact on the environment, because it is identified as the fastest growing source of greenhouse gas emissions. Green transport is low-emission and ecological travelling mode. The goals of green transport are not only to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, noise and space use, but also to reduce poverty and promote economic growth. Transport is considered green when it supports environmental sustainability, but also supports the other two pillars of sustainable development, i.e. economic and social. This paper discusses the application of the concept of "green" logistics and "green" technologies in transport in the transportation process. The modern requirements for transport in the field of environmental safety and compliance with environmental requirements both on the part of customers and on the part of states are considered.

Supply chain management is one of the most important elements of sustainable development. And due to the fact that the world market is driven by supply and demand, and the determinant of access to products is regional and international logistics, this paper focuses on the possibilities of implementing a green transport strategy in the context of sustainable development in logistic enterprises. This paper presents the results of the SWOT analysis pointing out the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats of green vehicles market for the transport enterprises. It was noticed that the situation on the green vehicles market for the transport enterprises is characterized by the advantage of strengths and these strengths should be used to maximize the use of green vehicles. It emphasized that subsidies for green vehicles would allow to invest in a modern fleet, new solutions (e.g. own charging stations) can have an impact on the greater energy efficiency (self-sufficiency), increase of social awareness would force enterprises to take appropriate actions in the field of environmental protection and development of public transport based on green vehicles.

Koncepcja zrównoważonego rozwoju miasta szczególna uwagę poświęca społeczno-ekonomicznym konsekwencjom degradacji środowiska i niekorzystnemu wpływowi działalności gospodarczej na środowisko. Jednym z głównych obszarów zainteresowania zrównoważonego rozwoju w mieście jest zielony, ekologiczny transport, który utożsamiać można z sferą działalności gospodarczej, polegającej na wykonywaniu usług przewozowych na terenie miasta oraz obszarach podmiejskich uwzględniając proekologiczne rozwiązania transportowe. Celem artykułu jest teoretyczno - empiryczne przedstawienie zielonego, ekologicznego transportu jako jednego z obszarów zainteresowania jak i inwestycji w zrównoważony rozwój miasta. W pracy zaprezentowano: koncepcję zrównoważonego rozwoju; aktualne i zarazem prognostyczne wyzwania związane z inwestycjami poczynanymi w ramach zrównoważonego rozwoju obszarów zurbanizowanych; istotę zielonego, ekologicznego transportu w mieście; koncepcję zrównoważonego transportu w mieście w oparciu o Plan zrównoważonego rozwoju publicznego transportu zbiorowego dla miasta Szczecin na lata 2014-2025.

The concept of sustainable development of the city pays special attention to the socio-economic consequences of environmental degradation and the negative impact of economic activity on the environment. One of the main areas of interest for sustainable development in the city is green, ecological transport, which can be identified with the sphere of economic activity, which consists of carrying out transport services in the city and suburban areas, taking into account ecological transport solutions. The aim of the article is the theoretical - empirical presentation of green, ecological transport as one of the areas of interest and investment in the sustainable development of the city. The paper presents: the concept of sustainable development; current and prognostic challenges related to investments made in the sustainable development of urban areas; the essence of green, ecological transport in the city; the concept of sustainable urban transport based on the Sustainable Public Transport Plan for the city of Szczecin 2014-2025.
