In the paper the Karl Fischer method was used to examine how water content in granulated polyethylene terephthalate decreases depending on drying time. It has been found that after drying the granulate to a water content below 100 ppm as soon as within half an hour of maturing in the link between the dryer container and the extruder its humidity can increase from 2 to 6 times depending on the kind of drying (with an absorbent or without it).
