W artykule opisano główne procesy technologiczne występujące w magazynie przechowalniczym ziarna. Zwrócono uwagę na zagrożenia zmian jakościowych ziarna wynikające z nieprawidłowego przechowywania i przewietrzania ziarna. Przedstawiono nowe dodatkowe urządzenia techniczne magazynów przechowalniczych w szczególności agregaty chłodnicze, urządzenia mieszające i rozrzutniki ziarna. Słowa kluczowe: przechowalnictwo ziarna, agregat chłodniczy, mieszalnik, wentylator, rozrzutnik.

The article describes the main processes occurring in the grain storing warehouse. Attention was paid to dangers of qualitative changes of grain due to its improper storage and bad ventilation. Article presents new additional technical equipment for storage warehouses in particular chillers, mixing devices and grain spreaders.

The paper is an attempt of presentation of the largest grain warehouse on the Polish coast, one of the largest in Europe. Problems with food storage existed for centuries. To ensure proper storage conditions had to meet several requirements, such as adequate space, proper temperature and humidity. These conditions forced the formation of granaries, at a later time – elevators. In Szczecin, there were many elevators, but the largest of these was and is the Eve elevator. The elevator is used to handling and short-term storage of corn, pulse and oil seeds and fodder.

Opisano projekt i realizację zasobnika zbożowego przeznaczonego do krótkoterminowego przechowywania zboża (40 700 m3), który został zrealizowany w roku 2007. Pierwszy etap budowy silosu (o pojemności użytecznej 29 000 m3) został zakończony w r. 2002, a koszt budowy zwrócił się już po jednym roku użytkowania. Ściany obu silosów były montowane z prefabrykowanych dyli żelbetowych, wykonywanych na placu budowy, co przyczyniło się do zmniejszenia kosztów realizacji.

The paper presents the design and execution of "horizontal silos" for short-term storage facilities of grain (volume 40 700 m3). The first stage of silo (useful capacity 29 000 m3) was carried out in year 2002, and its costs were refund after one year of operating. Both building stages (the first and the second one) of horizontal silos were mounting with prefabricated planks made on building site. Such procedure contributed superbly to reducing costs of the realization.
