Mass, momentum and electrical charge flows in multi-component medium are analysed in the work. In particular, a general gradient description of the processes is considered in case of electroneutrality of medium based on the formulations of balances for these quantities.
In the work energy of mechanical and diffusive transformations is analysed in terms of the gradient thermomechanics and calculus of variations. As a result of the considerations new forms of the partial diffusing mass and momentum balances of the thermomechanical process are derived in comparison with the classical theory.
In the work properties of the residual inequality of gradient thermomechanics are analysed. As a basic result of the considerations limitations of stability for the thermomechanical processes and for its evolution to the states of equilibrium are obtained using the methods of calculs of variations.
