Epoxy resin derived from disalicylidene-pentaerythritol were prepared in the two-phase system with or without phase transfer catalyst. The synthesis of resins with multi-functional glycidyl groups was described. The products were analyzed by NMR spectroscopy and ESI-MS analysis.
1,3-Dialkoxypropan-2-olsand 1-(2-alkoxypropoxy)-3-(2-alkoxypropoxy)propan-2-ols(1,3-dialkylgly-cerol ethers) have been prepared in the reaction of glyoidyl ethers with alcohols or alkyl monoethers of propylene glycols, respectively in the presence of basic catalyst. The course of these reactions is confirmed by obtaining the identical products in the reaction of 1-chloromethyl-2-alkoxyethanols or 1-chloromethyl-2-(2-alkoxypropoxy)ethanols with alcoholates.
