New necessary and sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability of positive continuous-discrete linear systems described by the general 2D model are established. A procedure for checking the asymptotic stability is proposed. The effectiveness of the procedure is demonstrated on examples.
The realization problem for linear hybrid systems described by the general model is formulated and solved. Sufficient conditions for the existence of positive realizations are established. A procedure based on the state variable diagram method for computation of a positive realization of a given transfer matrix is proposed. Effectiveness of the procedure is demonstrated on two examples.
The reachability of standard and positive hybrid linear systems described by the general model is addressed. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the reachability of the standard general model are established. Sufficient condition is given for the reachability of positive hybrid system described by the general model. The considerations are illustrated by numerical examples.
Necessary and sufficient conditions for the pointwise completeness and pointwise degeneracy of the standard and positive hybrid linear systems described by the general model are established. It is shown that the standard general model is always pointwise complete and it is not pointwise degenerated and the positive general model is pointwise complete if and only if its matrix A2 is diagonal.

Theoretical foundations [3, 4] and Rophol's formal definitions are used to carry out a systemic analysis of injection moulding. Technical systems are classified by function classes and major outputs (table 1) [3]. Primary shaping of products [9], e.g., of thermoplastic melts, is described in terms of function classes (eqns. 1, 2). A general model of injection moulding is given (Figs. 1, 2) and systematic analysis of injection moulding, based on Rophol's formal definitions, is carried out.

Przeprowadzono analizę systemową formowania wtryskowego na podstawie m.in. definicji formalnych Ropohla [3]. Klasyfikację układów technicznych wg [3] przedstawiono w tabeli 1. W tych kategoriach opisano proces pierwotnego formowania produktów, np. stopionych polimerów termoplastycznych [równania (1) i (2)]. Przedstawiono ogólny model formowania wtryskowego (rys. 1, 2) oraz zestaw odpowiednich równań [(3)-(13)].

A new extended Roesser type model is introduced and its solution is derived. Sufficient conditions are established under which a singular 2D general model can be reduced to standard 2D general models. Solution to the new model is also derived.

A new nD Roesser model with extended inputs is introduced. nD Roesser models with square matrices and extended inputs equivalent to the singular nD Fornasini-Marchesini models and nD Fornasini-Marchesini models with square matrices equivalent to the singular nD Roesser models are derived. A formula determination the solution of standard 2D Roesser model with extended inputs is also derived.
