The article presents ceramic and metal substrate filtration efficiency in the particulate filter of a spark-ignition engine with direct fuel injection. Gaseous exhaust components were taken into account. There are many publications on the solid particles mass and number reduction, so the authors examined the effect of catalytic carriers on gaseous compounds, such as CO, NOx, THC, whose content also poses a threat to human health and life, and this issue is not often described in the literature dedicated to measurements of modern internal combustion engines. During the tests, the length and carrier material effect on the emission of harmful substances in exhaust gases was determined.

W artykule rozpatrzono zagadnienia związane z oceną jakości pomiarów wykorzystywanych do wyznaczenia stężeń składników lotnych powstających w procesie termicznego przekształcania odpadów przemysłowych. Zwrócono uwagę na specyficzne problemy pomiaru składników gazów odlotowych. Rozważano sposób pobierania próbki gazów odlotowych i wynikające stąd błędy analizy.

In this article, problems of quality evaluation of the measurements used for designation of gaseous components concentration generated in the thermal process of waste industrial conversion have been discussed. The attention was paid to some measurement problems of the exhausted gas components when the waste composition changes at random. The method of samples preparation of the exhausted gases and errors of their analysis has been considered.
