Isolated bones of three taxa of marine reptiles (Mosasaurus hoffmannii Mantell, Plioplatecarpus marshi Dollo and Allopleuron hofmanni (Gray)) from various levels within the Maastricht Formation (upper Maastrichtian) at the former ENCI-Heidelberg Cement Group quarry (Maastricht, the Netherlands) exhibit bioerosional traces and encrustation. Episkeletozoans include dimyid, ostreid and monopleurid bivalves, at least three species of cheilostome and cyclostome bryozoans and two adnate calcareous foraminifera. The bones show biting traces (Gnathichnus pentax Bromley, Linichnus cf. serratus Jacobsen & Bromley and Machichnus isp.), as well as borings. The latter may be referred to Karethraichnus lakkos Zonneveld, Bartels, Gunnell & McHugh, which is here considered to be a junior synonym of Gastrochaenolites isp.

Teddy May włączył latarkę. Przeszedł już sporą część z podziemnych kanałów Nowego Jorku, które ciągnęły się przez 10 tys. kilometrów, a teraz zrobiło się bardzo ciemno. W snopie światła zobaczył coś, co wmurowało go w ścianę. Wewnątrz znajdowały się aligatory, a ich ogromne ciała pokrywały kanał aż po zasięg latarki. Podziemia amerykańskiego miasta zamieszkiwały tysiące białych gadów.

Pyton przepadł w Warszawie. Nikt nie jest w stanie go odnaleźć, znaleziono jedynie pięciometrowe wylinki zwierzęcia. W Polsce trudno nam sobie wyobrazić, jak gad tej wielkości może pozostać niezauważony w mieście, podczas gdy na całym świecie wzruszają ramionami: „Ależ to zupełnie normalne”.

Two bonebeds with numerous remains of Dactylosaurus (Reptilia, Sauropterygia) and ganoid fishes were discovered in the uppermost Rot (Lower Triassic, Olenekian), exposed in the vicinity of Gogolin (Opole Silesia, SPoland). The lower bonebed, which is up to 5 cm thick, is built of several laminae. On the top of the individual laminae, vertebrae, teeth, long and flat bones of reptiles, as well as fish scales, teeth and a skull fragment have been found. The upper bonebed, which is up to 2 cm thick, contains smaller bones of reptiles (mainly vertebrae and long bones), and also fish scales. The bonebeds are particularly abundant in vertebrate remains: 1 m2 usually contains several dozens of them. All remains are disarticulated. Gogolin is probably the third or second site with Rot deposits where remains ofDactylosaurus have been found, and the richest one.
