Flexible lighting distribution on “party ships”

TRIZ trends predict an increased electrification of engineering systems. One of the visible effects of this is lighting, in this case party lights on boats. The need to furnish a boat with colorful illumination requires a flexible, redispatchable system. Cable-bound illumination does not meet this requirement. A solution is presented in this paper using TRIZ as a problem-solving methodology. TRIZ comprises a set of heuristic tools for problem analysis, reformulation, root cause analysis, and problem-solving algorithms. TRIZ, however, concentrates on generating solutions to problems irrespective of given limitations concerning, for example, safety, producibility, or cost. TRIZ provides a direction of thinking that has been proven successful in the past for similar problems. Other tools must, nevertheless, be used to carry out a technical evaluation of the feasibility of the solution, scalability, practicability, or cost target. TRIZ tools are widely used by engineers in multinational corporations such as Intel, GE, Philips, Siemens, Bosch, Boeing, Samsung, LG, and Cochlear. In this paper, selected tools from the overall TRIZ toolbox will be used and explained, with a focus on functional analysis, trimming, and resources. However, other aspects (Trends, Function Oriented Search (FOS), and Ideal Final Result (IFR)) will also be presented.

W artykule przedstawiono definicję i założenia zarządzania wartością w przedsięwzięciach budowlanych oraz zaprezentowano wyniki sondażowych badań przeprowadzonych wśród polskiej kadry inżynierskiej. Celem badań było wskazanie, czy polscy inżynierowie i specjaliści z dziedziny budownictwa mają wiedzę o zarządzaniu wartością i czy wykorzystują ją w praktyce.

The paper presents definition and goals of Value Management. Results of research covering Value Management in Polish construction industry were introduced. The purposes of the research was to demonstrate knowledge and perceptions of Value Management among polish construction professionals.

Estymacja rozmiaru tworzonej aplikacji na wczesnym etapie cyklu życia stanowi jeden z zasadniczych problemów zarządzania przedsięwzięciem informatycznym. Przedstawiono na przykładzie wybranego modelu metodę szacowania niezależną od środków implementacji, nazywaną metodą FP Metoda ta na podstawie modelu funkcji i informacji oraz szczegółowych wymagań eksploatacyjnych, pozwala obliczyć przewidywany rozmiar tworzonej aplikacji w punktach funkcyjnych. Omówiono zasady postępowania ze szczególnym podkreśleniem nowych reguł wprowadzonych przez międzynarodową grupę jej użytkowników.

An important problem of software project management is the ability to estimate the size of application early in the development life cycle. The paper presents how to use the function point method in the software industry today. This method is based on a function model for user requirements and entity relationship diagram. The result of this measurement is calculated application size in function points. This paper also describes the current enhancements of definitions and rules made by the international function point users group
