W prezentowanym artykule omowiono jedna zmożliwości pokrywania powierzchni par ciernych metalami. Przestawiono rowniez wyniki badań właściwości tribologicznych modelowych smarów stałych.

The tribological tests on the four - ball machine (according to the Polish Standard - PN-76/C-04147) were used to test carbonyls as additions to lubricants. The molibdenum, tungsten, mangenese, iron, chromium carbonyls were used like 1%, 3% and 5% oil substances. The oil base had 21% silica and 79% parafin oil. The X-ray methods were used to definite the change of the composition of the friction wear's surface layer as result of wear. The influence of metalic deposit (originating from the destruction of carbonyls) on tribological properties was analysed.
