The paper discusses issues of examination supporting structure of forage trailer. Tests were applied to supporting structure, lowered in order to adjust the height of mix feeding for younger cattle. Lowering obtained by spreading of supports caused increase of the structure effort and increase of stress exceeding acceptable values. The paper describes the manner of preparation of numerical model and results of tests performed with its application. Based upon the results modification of the structure in critical areas was proposed. Implementation of such modifications resulted in improvement of effort of forage trailer supporting structure.

W artykule przedstawiono podział wozów paszowych do żywienia krów w systemie TMR. Dokonano analizy rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych tych maszyn ze wzglądu na pojemność zbiornika, stosowane źródła napędu zespołów roboczych, sposób załadunku, mieszania i zadawania paszy. Opracowanie przeprowadzono na podstawie informacji zebranych z prospektów firmowych producentów tych maszyn oraz literatury. Analizą objęto maszyny produkowane w latach 2002-2005.

Division of forage trailers for cows feeding in TMR system into specific groups is discussed in the article. Analysis of various forage trailers designs was carried out taking into account such data as tank capacity, used sources of the working unites driving, the methods of tank loading, forage mixing and the ways of its distributing. The article was based on the information collected from prospectuses of the companies which are producing these machines as well as from literature survey. The analysis covered the time span since 2002 till 2005.
