W ostatnich latach nastąpił gwałtowny rozwój metod pomiarowych stosowanych w hydrologii. Jedną z nich jest akustyczna metoda pomiaru natężenia przepływu ADCP. Jest ona stosowana coraz częściej na całym świecie, jak i w Polsce. Dlatego autorzy tego artykułu postanowili opisać tę metodę aby przybliżyć ją polskiemu odbiorcy.

The measurement methods applied in hydrology hane been rapidly developed in the last years. One of them is the ADCP acoustic method of flow intensity measurement. That method is more and more frequently used in the world and recently also in Poland. The Authors of this paper decided therefore to describe that method in order to make the Polish users familiar with it.

W artykule poruszono problematykę historycznej ciągłości pomiarów przepływu realizowanych przez służbę hydrologiczno-meteorologiczną. Podano typy i charakterystyki stosowanych młynków hydrometrycznych oraz stosowa ne metody pom iarów. Omówiono również nowe wyposażenie Państwowej Służby Hydro log iczno-Meteorologicznej w postaci mierników ADCP, elektromagnetycznych mierników prędkości, mobilnych zestawów hydrometrycznych itp.

In the paper there is taken up the problem of historical continuity of flow measurements carried out by the hydro- and meteorological service. There are shown types and characterization of applied hydro-metric current meters and applied methods of measurements. There is also discussed the new equipment of the State Hydrological and Meteorological Service consisting of ADCP meters, electromagnetic velocity meters, mobile hydrometrie sets and the like.
