Celem badania była analiza pozycji konkurencji polskich firm hodowlanych na rynku materiału siewnego pszenicy ozimej w stosunku do firm z zagranicy. W ostatnich latach nastąpił wzrost liczby odmian pszenicy ozimej na rynku nasion. W 2007 r. rejestr zawierał 57 pozycje, a cztery lata później, w 2011 roku, było już 77 zarejestrowanych odmian, co stanowiło wzrost o około 10 procent. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badan można wywnioskować, że udział w rynku polskich firm zmniejszył się, pomimo ich silnej pozycji na tym rynku.

The aim of this study was to analyse the competition position of Polish breeding companies on winter wheat market compere to the companies from abroad. In the last few years, there has been an increase in the number of winter wheat varieties in the seed market. In 2007 the register contained 57 entries, while four years later, in 2011, there were as many as 77 registered varieties, which constituted an increase of about 10%. On the basis of the conducted research a conclusion can be made as to the market share of Polish companies continuously decreasing, in spite of their strong position in this market.

By the access of Poland to the European Union and opening the outside labour markets were observed peculiarly strong need of the professional development amongst our countrymen in foreign companies. In particular our countrymen chose Great Britain and Ireland. Issues presented by authors include issues of motives for taking up work in foreign companies and choices of paths of career above all professional with reference to ones interests and professional predispositions. Results of those surveys were presented in the context of the newest theory and the practice of the management.

Issues presented in the article concern instruments of development professional of employees applied in foreign companies. In the first part classification and characteristics of instruments of development were described professional of employees in the context of the newest literature on the subject. However in the second part of the article findings of empirical concerning applied instruments of development were presented professional in chosen British and Irish companies.

W publikacji oceniono możliwości zwiększenia wydobycia gazu ziemnego i ropy naftowej w Polsce. Omówiono uwarunkowania organizacyjne i naftowo-geologiczne sprzyja-jące intensyfikacji poszukiwań, zagospodarowania złóż i wydobycia. Docelowo krajowe wy-dobycie ropy naftowej może wzrosnąć do wielkości 3-4 min ton i gazu ziemnego do 8-l O mld ml Warunkiem wzrostu wydobycia jest zwiększenie środków inwestycyjnych w procesie poszukiwania, rozpoznania i zagospodarowania złóż węglowodorów. Istotnym czynnikiem dla rozwoju Górnictwa Naftowego jest realizacja Programu Rządowego z dnia 31.01.2002 roku i wydzielenie z PGNiG S.A. samodzielnego podmiotu obejmującego sektor poszukiwawczo-wydobywczy. Omówiono konieczność współpracy Górnictwa Naftowego z naftowymi firmami zagranicznymi w obrębie polskich stref koncesyjnych i w basenach naftowych świata, co pozwoli na podział ryzyka poszukiwawczego, umożliwi dostęp do nowoczesnych technologii i zabezpieczy dostawy węglowodorów na rynek krajowy. Gwarantem i kluczem do sukcesów poszukiwawczych za złożami ropy naftowej i gazu ziemnego jest poziom kadry specjalistów. Priorytetowa i fundamentalna dla odkryć złożowych jest pomysłowość i kreaty-wność zespołów projektujących prace poszukiwawcze, przy wykorzystaniu dostępnych tech-nik interpretacyjnych i osiągnięć techniczno-technologicznych. Takie umiejętności specjalistów Górnictwa Naftowego umożliwiły dotychczasowe odkrycie zasobów węglowodorów w Polsce.

The paper presents assessment of possibilities of increasing the oil and gas production in Poland. Organizational and geological conditions favourable for intensification of exploration, development and production are discussed. Intended domestic oil production may be increased up to 3-4 million tonnes and gas production up to 8-10 billion m3. The increase is conditioned by greater investment nieans in the process of exploring for and development of hydrocarbon deposits. Crucial factor for the Petroleum Industry development is implementing the Governmental Program of January 31sl 2002 and arating from POGC S.A. an independent entity which would include the exploration and production sector. Necessity of cooperation between the Petroleum Idustry and foreign companies within Polish concession areas and world's petroliferous basins is also discussed. The cooperation will enable ain access to modern technology and secure hydrocarbon supplies to the home market. High quality of specialists is the warrant and key to oil and gas exploration success. A top priority and fundamental condition for hydrocarbon discoveries is inventiveness and creativity of teams which plan the exploration work with appplication of available interpretation techniques and technological solutions. Such competence of specialists from the Petroleum Industry has afforded possibilities for the hydrocarbon discoveries in Poland up to the present.
