The model of filtration and cake compression of free suspension and thick slurry is presented. It is based on flow, mass and forces balance equations and solved using a numerical procedures. The so-called material co-ordinates are applied in the solution to make it simpler. The model has been positively verified for three different suspensions by the comparison between the simulations and experiments results.
