The paper presents the investigation on magnetically active fluids, with special stress on the active control of the effect of magnetic field on friction kinematic pairs lubricated with ferrocene solutions. Such kind of control makes it possible to decrease, significantly, the value of the coefficient of friction even by the order of magnitude when compared to lubrication without the influence of magnetic field.
