The article is written in a popular science convention. It concerns issues related to generally understood issues that are involved in explaining the principles of the impact of the measure-ment beam in spectrophotometric research. To explain this, we need to answer basic ques-tions about what a photon is? What is wave-particle dualism? What do chemical bonds look like? What conditions must be met for a photon to be adsorbed by a chemical moiety? There are many inaccuracies in the current theories that do not explain the observed phenomena. The phenomenological models of the photon and chemical bonds that I have created are in-tended to explain photoelectric and optical phenomena that are not explained by either the wave or particle nature of photons. There is also no clear model of chemical bonds that would explain the phenomena observed in spectrophotometry. Phenomenological considerations are accompanied by several physical considerations and calculations in order to illustrate certain phenomena and proportions prevailing on the atomic scale. The above considerations are of a debatable nature and are an attempt to break away from stereotypical concepts operating in the world of science. Spectrophotometry is an analytical method that combines theories about photons, the structure of matter and phenomena that concern their mutual interactions. The phenomena visible in it can be interpreted more easily using my phenomenological image of matter.

Tematem artykułu jest fenomen powstawania nowych obiektów sakralnych Kościoła luterańskiego w Finlandii, pomimo stale laicyzującego się społeczeństwa. Celem przedstawionych badań jest poznanie przyczyn analizowanego zagadnienia poprzez pryzmat funkcji i roli jaką te obiekty pełnią dla lokalnych społeczności. Do analizy wybranych przykładów świątyń zastosowano narracyjną metodę badawczą. Zastosowana metoda pozwoliła na ujęcie pragmatycznych aspektów architektury, jakimi są struktura obiektu i forma w kontekście kulturowym osadzonym w przynależnym miejscu i czasie. Zagadnienie ujęto na tle religijno-społecznym, przedstawiając przyczyny i sposoby dostosowywania obiektów sakralnych do współczesnych, różnorodnych potrzeb wspólnoty. Kontynuacja tradycji tworzenia wysokiej jakości architektury połączonej z wernakularną tradycją budowania jest obecna we współczesnych obiektach sakralnych, które w swojej funkcji i skali dostosowywane są do celu, jakiemu mają służyć nie tylko we wspólnocie, ale i często w całej dzielnicy jako miejsca spotkań i integracji mieszkańców.

The subject of the article is the phenomenon of creating new sacral buildings of the Lutheran Church in Finland, despite the increasing secularization of the society. The goal was to understand the reasons of the issue through the prism of the function and role these architecture play for local communities. The narrative research method was used to analyse selected examples of sacral architecture. The method allowed to capture the pragmatic aspects of architecture, such as the structure of the object and the form in the cultural context embedded in the appropriate place and time. The issue is presented in a religious and social context, discovering the causes and ways of adjusting sacral objects to the contemporary, diverse needs of the community. Continuation of the tradition of creating high-quality architecture combined with the vernacular building tradition is present in contemporary sacral architecture. Their function and scale are adjusted to the purpose they are to serve not only in the community, but often in the entire district as meeting places for residents.

Innovations for new display technologies equipped in vehicles set forth a need for assessing the impact of their user-adoption and emergence. This paper offers a phenomenological approach for investigating the user interaction and user experience of driving when augmented reality, heads-up displays, and digital screens are present. In doing so, this paper aims to show how the phenomenological concept of the horizon helps us to understand the ways in which screen technologies may affect the quality of the user experience for drivers. Implications of the horizon allow us to consider how, while driving, we recognize objects categorically in sense perception, observe the present and foresee its future consequences, and make decision-procedures according to levels of priority and attention to detail. As a result, these considerations help strengthen our approach to understanding driving activity while screens are in the periphery. Thus, these findings are suggested to be adopted for further user experience quality assessments in the field of intelligent transport systems.

In the last decade, the increasing popularity of neuroscience has involved architecture. Both neuroscientists and architects have endeavoured to understand how the experience of architecture works from the standpoint of cognitive functioning. This has been possible thanks to the neuroimaging techniques such as fMRI and discoveries like mirror neurons. These researches, despite their outstanding quality, are difficult to implement for what concerns the practice of architectural design. However, there is a common ground where architectural theory, phenomenology and neuroscience intersect, represented by empathy, embodiment, and emotion. They are the frame of the awareness of space and the counterpart of the visual perception. The main goal of design is to make the living space but to take a meaning, it has to be the “negative” of the human body. This process comes into existence through “old” tools, i.e. the mentioned empathy, embodiment, and emotion. Still, they can get a new meaning if their traditional hermeneutic is blended with the latest knowledge provided by neurosciences.

A new phenomenological method for composing analytical formulae to describe dynamic systems using the DeSuTra function as a building block is introduced. Based on heuristic considerations, it is possible to write a correct formula with several unknown coefficients. Next, these coefficients are tuned such a way that the result coincides with the experimental data. To illustrate the viability of such a method, a simple but not trivial aerodynamic system was chosen: the autorotation of a rectangular piece of paper that falls in air. Three correction coefficients (diminishers) were introduced to calculate its rotation frequency Then a simple expression for the Magnus effect and drag force was used. All the obtained formulae were experimentally proved and the coefficients calculated. The conclusions drawn confirm the usefulness of the presented calculation procedure for the design of composites with chaotically distributed reinforcements.

The city is a multilayered, three-dimensional experience. Conducted as a part of the city’s landscape design course, a pilot workshop using analysis and valorization of urban landscape based on the view sequence theory by Gordon Cullen intended to develop a coherent urban interiors design method.

There is a relationship between selected factors of creation of authorized car organization and phenomeno-logical conception. In marketing, this philosophical method is used in qulitative research. Mixed research methods are used in studies connected with the existence of dealership organization. The research done among the clients of the authorized car service shows, that customers do not want to in-dependently tell their opinion about the organization. This happens, because there are so many technical indicators in car service organization. Customers who indicate the reason themselves for the visit in car ser-vice organization assess the quality service worse than those who choose the reason from the questionnaire. In addition, customers who are independent in determining actions needed it to be improved, later assess the quality of service better. In summary, mixed research methods allow to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the organization.

Autor artykułu dokonuje analizy współczesnej architektury chrześcijańskiej, poszukując odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy aspekty fenomenologiczne wpływają na jej wizerunek. Badaniu poddano wybrane obiekty powstałe na przestrzeni dwóch ostatnich dekad w Monachium. Miejsce to bowiem z jednej strony stanowiło historycznie ważny ośrodek rozwoju religijnego, z drugiej strony jest stolicą regionu, w którym zrodziła się myśl fenomenologiczna. Co więcej, miasto to pozostaje istotnym centrum rozwoju najnowszej architektury sakralnej. Przesłanie artykułu sprowadza się do rozważenia, czy nowa architektura sakralna w stolicy Bawarii wpisuje się w ogólnokulturowy nurt fenomenologiczny. Nadrzędnym celem artykułu jest więc udowodnienie tego założenia na podstawie zestawienia analiz kluczowych obiektów budowlanych. Studium przedstawiono na tle założeń fenomenologicznych w taki sposób, aby w miarę możliwości skierować dociekania w stronę przekazu kulturowego kosztem wartości czysto wizualnych.

The article analyses Christian contemporary architecture, seeking an answer to the question whether phenomenological aspects affect its image. The study was conducted on the selected objects that was built over the last two decades in Munich. On the one hand, this location has been a historically important religious development centre, and on the other hand, it is the capital of the region where the phenomenological thought was born. Moreover, the city is still an important centre of contemporary sacral architecture development. The message of the article is to consider whether the new sacral architecture in the Bavarian capital is part of a general phenomenological trend. The overriding aim of this paper is therefore to prove this assumption on the basis of the combination of the key buildings analysis. The study is presented against the background of the phenomenological assumptions in such a way that as far as possible to direct inquiries towards cultural transmission at the expense of the purely visual aspects.

The issue of the dimension as a defining value in geopolitical security and its deriviative fields is a fundamental subject determinative to international security. This applies to the regional phenomenons, as well as the global ones. In article the author presents essential notions of the idea of dimension and its genetic origin with its meaningful many reflections. The historical aspects of constitution of its meaning and the most important theories dealing with the practice and abstraction of dimension’s awareness are described. Presented study of dimension phenomenon as aplicable to security studies, as it is argued, extends the realistic evaluation of the world security politics. The author crossectional presentation of the issues in that area presents understanding of a unison between holistic and particular values of the subject discussed.

Presented paper is divided into two parts. The first part concerns the main philosophical aspects of Virtual Reality. At the basis of the J. Baudrillard theory of aesthetic simulacrum the differences between imitation and simulation are considered. The M. Heidegger’s notion of “lifebeing”, Dasein and nature are presented. In the second part, Virtual Reality is analysed from two points of view – as a tool for presentation and as an environment for direct designing in the virtual world.

Niematerialne wartości krajobrazu kulturowego można traktować w sposób zbliżony do cech opisujących dzieło sztuki. Przyjmując zaproponowany przez Władysława Stróżewskiego podział wartości cechujących dzieło sztuki na: artystyczne, estetyczne i nadestetyczne, w odniesieniu do badania krajobrazu kulturowego najmniej narzędzi opracowano do wartości określonych przez Stróżewskiego jako nadestetyczne. Istotne jest badanie tych wartości, ponieważ określają one związek mieszkańców z ich otoczeniem krajobrazowym. Ten związek można prześledzić badając stosunek mieszkańców do ich otoczenia, takimi badaniami zajmuje się psychokartografia, która wypracowała stosowne narzędzia. Można, naszym zdaniem, ten związek odczytać poprzez badania umieszczonych w krajobrazie artefaktów, którym mieszkańcy nadali znaczenia. Artykuł jest poświęcony badaniom umieszczonych w krajobrazie kulturowym artefaktom, które odzwierciedlają zbiorową mapę znaczeń mieszkańców badanego krajobrazu. Badania przeprowadzono w kolejnych przybliżeniach na obszarze Warszawy jako całości, jej dzielnicy Ursynów Północny oraz mieszczącego się na terenie Ursynowa starego kampusu SGGW. Wyniki przedstawiono w formie map znaczeń.

Immaterial values of cultural landscape can be treated similarly to the features characterizing a work of art. If we adopt the proposed by Władysław Strużyński division of the aesthetical values characterizing a work of art into artistic values, aesthetical values and overaesthetical values, regarding the cultural landscape research there are the fewest tools elaborated to evaluate the overaesthetical values. Research on these values is important because they describe the most strongly the relation between inhabitants and their landscape surrounding. This relation can be observed during research on the inhabitants approach to their surrounding. This kind of research is used in the psychocartography were the suitable tools were elaborated. This relation can be also seen in the artifacts localized in the landscape which were given a significance by the inhabitants. This article presents the research on the artifacts localized in cultural landscape which show the collective mental map of the landscape inhabitants. The research was conducted in the following approximations: in the city of Warsaw as a whole, in the district of Ursynów and in the part of the district – the old Warsaw University of Life Sciences campus. Results were presented as the map of significances.

Tworzy architekturę, w której idea, inspirowana literaturą, malarstwem i muzyką, przejmuje rolę klasycznej symetrii. Witruwiusz za podstawę architektury przyjął proporcje ciała człowieka. W twórczości Holla zasada ta ewoluuje z zainteresowania doskonałością fizyczną człowieka w kierunku "psychologii przestrzeni".

In his own projects, Steven Holl reinterpretates the principles of vitruvian aesthetics, by creating complexed relationships between a house and the site and light and also conforming a form to an individuality of inhabitants. He creates architecture in which idea inspired by literature painting and music takes over the role classical symmetry. Vitruvius assumed the proportions of a human body as the base of architecture. In Holl's works that principle evolutes form the interest of physical perfection of a human towards "spatial psychology".

When the deadline and our competition is chasing us we tend to take even a greater risk that the result of our empirical research will fail us. Inductive way of drawing conclusions supported by years of research is replaced with cognitive research and by means of our experience, skills and intuition we deduct the picture of things that have not been done. In this we support ourselves with methodology consisting of strategy, structure and attributes and abstraction connected with phemonologicd search of the heart of things. It creates a system set both logical and physical in the creation of which we can be supported k intensively developed object methods.

Stosunek myśli filozoficznej do idei zrównoważonego rozwoju wiąże się w sposób szczególny z orientacją aksjologiczną myślicieli, ich przekonaniami natury ontologicznej i epistemologicznej oraz orientacji historiozoficznej. Wyróżnia się cztery zasadnicze orientacje: - filozofia równoważenia wzrostu i aktywnej ochrony środowiska; - filozofia zrównoważonego rozwoju społecznego; - filozofia ekorozwoju; - filozofia realnego ekorozwoju. Metodą dochodzenia do sensownego pojmowania kategorii zrównoważonego rozwoju może stać się metoda fenomenologiczna nawiązująca do tradycji naturalistycznej, łącząca w sobie badania oparte o intencjonalność poznania skierowanego na przyczynowość przyrody. W artykule omówiona jest koncepcja fenomenologii życia A. T. Tymienieckiej, która może być w tym procesie szczególnie przydatna.

Relation between philosophical thought and the idea of sustainable development is connected especially with axiological orientation of philosophers, their cognitional, epistemological and historical convictions. One can distinguish four basic standpoints: - philosophy of balanced growth and active protection of the environment; - philosophy of sustainable social development; - philosophy of ecodevelopment; - philosophy of real ecodevelopment. The method of reaching reasonable understanding of sustainable development category may be phenomenological, referring to naturalistic tradition. In the article the idea of phenomenology of life proposed by A. T. Tymieniecka is discussed. It may be extremely useful in the process.
