Short analysis of fast railway connections between chosen Polish cities and Warsaw shows considerable contrasts in railroad attendance and service activities. They are result on transportation requirements of markets equal and economic condition of modernizing railways during period of restructuring. Commercial speeds of most fast connections are comparable with level of French railways in 60s’. Position of competitive railroad in attitude of road transport is very weak in many examples. They are not taken advantage capabilities of modernized transport corridors by the reason of lack completely modern rolling stock or obsolete legal regulations. Rational operating on upgraded lines can correct availability in time for neighboring cities. Considerable so far time-distances between capitol city Warsaw and some subregional Polish cities are comparable or even farthest than some international connections of Warsaw with other European capitol towns like Berlin or Vienna.
