The results of research of hydrodynamic processes in face throttle which is the basic element of automatic discharging device of the axial balancing of centrifugal pumps rotors are present in work, mainly determining their capacity and reliability. Analytical expressions for determination of power and flow rate characteristic into account liquid inertia forces and local hydraulic losses are given, that allows to make more exact static and dynamic characteristics of device on the whole.
