Artykuł dotyczy określenia granic sieci, przyłączy oraz instalacji wodociągowych i kanalizacyjnych. Omawiany problem przysparza wiele problemów projektantom, gestorom sieci oraz urzędnikom, którzy niejednokrotnie mają odmienne zdania odnośnie do zakwalifikowania poszczególnych części przewodów do odpowiednich definicji. Prawidłowe nazewnictwo sieci, przyłącza czy też instalacji predestynuje je m.in. w zakresie ustalenia własności i co za tym idzie konieczności utrzymywania w odpowiednim stanie technicznym przez przedsiębiorstwo wodociągowo-kanalizacyjne lub odbiorcę usług oraz w zakresie konieczności uzyskania pozwolenia na budowę lub zgłoszenia o zamiarze wykonania robót budowlanych. W artykule znajduje się szczegółowa interpretacja aktów prawnych i normatywnych wraz z propozycją wprowadzenia zmian, które rozwiałyby istniejące wątpliwości.

The article concerns the definition of the borders of the network, the terminals as well as water conduit and sewerage system. The discussion of this issue increases a variety of problems to the designers, managers of the networs and officials who frequently present distinct opinions regarding qualifying the particular parts of the sewers to the adequate definitions. The appropriate nomenclature of the network, the terminal or the system predestines the assignment of the properties as well as the necessity of the maintenance of the technical equirements by the waterworks, sewerage company or the consumer of the service and when it comes to the necessity of obraining the building permit or applying the intentions of future performing building works. This article also includes a detailed interpretation of deeds and normative acts with the proposition of introducing certain modifications that would resolve any misunderstandings.
