Super high speed permanent magnet generators (SHSPMG) usually operate at high frequency. The external characteristic of the SHSPMG under condition of high frequency operation is quite different from that of conventional generators. Therefore, it is necessary to study the external characteristic of the SHSPMG. Based on the finite element method, this paper studied the factors that affect the external characteristic of the SHSPMG. Combining the vector method and the finite element method, the external characteristic of the SHSPMG with the inductive load and the resistance load was studied. The variation law of the generator terminal voltage with the change of the load and current was obtained, and the key factors affecting the external characteristic of the SHSPMG were determined. The influences of the armature resistance, power factor, frequency and permanent magnet performance on the external characteristic of the SHSPMG were studied. The influence mechanism of different parameters on the generator external characteristic was revealed. The influence degree of each factor on the voltage regulation was determined. The conclusions can provide reference for the design and research of the SHSPMG.

The paper presents the results of the experimental study of the turbocharged spark ignition Fiat 0.9 TwinAir engine, with indirect, multipoint petrol injection system, powered by petrol and equipped with the injection system of the compressed natural gas (CNG) supplying gas into the intake manifold. The test results provide the comparison of the selected fuel-efficiency, energetic and ecologic indicators of engine work, obtained when it is powered by Pb95 petrol and the CNG gas. The paper compares the external torque-speed characteristics with factory-set engine controllers. Also presented are the concentration levels of harmful gases in the exhaust fumes: carbon monoxide (CO), nitric oxides (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon dioxide (CO2). Results obtained on the engine powered by CNG are indicating lower power and torque, lower concentration of hazardous gases, in particular carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons as well as significantly lower consumption of the gas when compared to petrol.

The article presents a study conducted on a fuel cell stack PEM type (Proton Exchange Membrane) with a capacity of 300W. The dynamics of the work of the stack has been shown, electrical efficiency of a stack has been stated. There have also been stated an external characteristics and the power curve of the stack. The impact of the coefficient of excess air on the work of the stack has been examined.

W artykule przedstawiono badania przeprowadzone na stosie ogniw paliwowych typu PEM (ang Proton Exchange Membrane) o mocy znamionowej 300W. Pokazano dynamikę pracy stosu, wyznaczono sprawność elektryczną stosu. Wyznaczono charakterystykę zewnętrzną oraz krzywa mocy stosu. Zbadano wpływ współczynnika nadmiaru powietrza na prace stosu.

Dokonano wstępnej analizy ekonomicznej i ekologicznej weryfikującej celowość stosowania paliw pochodzenia roślinnego do napędu silników tłokowych. Wskazano na energochłonność procesu wytwarzania paliwa mierzoną emisją CO2. Przedstawiono przykładowe obliczenia zużycia paliwa alternatywnego odniesione do paliw konwencjonalnych. Dokonano wstępnej analizy rynku paliw do silników Diesla pod kątem celowości stosowania biopaliw.

The research involved making of a preliminary economic and ecological analysis verifying whether using plant-derivative fuels to run piston engines is appropriate. Energy consumption of fuel production process measured with CO2 emission was pointed out. The paper presents examples of computations concerning alternative fuel consumption referred to conventional fuels. The researchers have made preliminary analysis on the market of fuels for Diesel engines in order to determine whether using biofuels is advisable.
