W artykule przedstawiono znaczenie relacji istniejących pomiędzy uczestnikami kanałów dystrybucji sektora małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw produkcyjnych. Zwrócono uwagę na obszary, które wpływają na kształtowanie tych relacji i konieczność ich ciągłego doskonalenia. W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badania opartego na ocenach rankingowych. Przy czym zbadano ogólną tendencję sektora MSP w kontekście konieczności wprowadzenia zmian w istniejących relacjach. Na podstawie ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród wybranych pracowników kilkudziesieciu przedsiebiorstw, zidentyfikowano główne obszary relacji, w których zachodzi potrzeba wprowadzenia zmian. Zbadano także czynniki, które wpływają na obszar najczęściej wskazywany jako wymagający poprawy.

In the paper there is presented the importance of the relationship existing between the participants of distribution channels of small and medium-sized (SME) manufacturing companies. The main attention was paid to areas that affect the shaping of these relations and to the need for continuous improvement of these relations. Moreover, in the article there are presented the results of a study based on assessments ranking. At the same time there was examined the general trend of the SME sector in the context of the need of changes in existing relationships. On the basis of the survey conducted among selected employees of chosen companies, there were identified the main areas of the relationship, in which there was a need for change. There were also examined the factors that affect the area most frequently indicated by employees as a demanding the improvement.
