The article concerns the opinion on stationary and remote examinations carried out during a pandemic, perceived from the perspective of examiners. The aim of the study was to find out about the perspective of academic teachers on remote examination at The Maria Grzegorzewska University and to compare it with the traditional, stationary exams. The subject of the research were, inter alia, the forms of checking knowledge and skills used by lecturers, the motivations driving their choice, problems arising during the exams, as well as the way of taking into account the special needs of the examinees. The research used the method of diagnostic survey. The obtained results indicate that, according to the lecturers, the students' independence during remote exams is smaller and the intensity of using unauthorized help by them is greater. Remote exams generate more problems - technical and related to the dishonesty of students. Lecturers hardly recognize and take into account the special educational needs of students during remote exams.

Artykuł porusza problematykę egzaminu typu open book, przedstawione zostały jego cechy charakterystyczne i powody, dla których warto korzystać z tej formy egzaminowania. Zaprezentowano wnioski z ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród studentów dotyczącej ich nastawienia do tego typu egzaminu. Omówiono również wyniki egzaminu, który zawierał zadanie typu open book. Zdaniem autora, egzamin typu open book może być z powodzeniem wykorzystywany do sprawdzania efektów uczenia się w zakresie wiedzy i umiejętności, które student powinien rozumieć i potrafić właściwie wykorzystać mając dostęp do zasobów ze źródeł zewnętrznych.

The article discusses the issues of the open book exam, presents its characteristics and reasons for using this form of examination. The tasks on such an exam usually require explanation, interpretation, inference, analysis of the given problem and use of knowledge. In this kind of exam problem solving, critical thinking and creativity are supported. So, we come to the higher categories in Bloom’s taxonomy and from the mathematics didactics point of view, we consider groups B and C in Mathematical Assessment Task Hierarchy. The conclusions of the survey, conducted among students, concerning the students’ attitude to this type of examination are presented. The results of the exam, which was partially open book, are also discussed. According to the author, knowledge that an engineer should be able to use immediately - without needing to consult outside sources, should be assessed in a closed book exam. Whereas, knowledge that a student should understand and be able to apply properly with the use of reference sources, should be assessed in an open book exam. Teachers and experts decide which knowledge is to be assessed in a closed book exam and which in an open book exam. The author is convinced that an open book exam can significantly support the discovery and disclosure of the "true mathematical value" considered in the article.

Przydatność zasobów e-learningowych, takich jak testy i quizy online, można dostrzec w wielu sytuacjach: duża liczba studentów uczęszczających na dane zajęcia, utrwalanie, podsumowanie i weryfikacja wiedzy czy nauczanie na odległość. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie pakietu R/exams dostępnego w programie statystycznym R jako wsparcia do tworzenia losowych i dynamicznych pytań oraz ich wykorzystania na platformie Moodle. Omówione zostaną różne typy pytań na przykładzie zadań ze statystyki.

The usefulness of e-learning resources, such as online tests and quizzes, can be seen in many situations: a large number of students attending a given course, consolidating, summarizing and verifying of knowledge or distance learning. The aim of the article is to present the R/exams package available in the R statistical program as a support for creating random and dynamic questions and their use on the Moodle platform. Thanks to the package, it is possible to create various types of tasks, but above all, a dozen variants of the same type in order to avoid rote learning and cheating during exams. Due to the fact that distance education plays and will play an important role, the article aims to introduce and encourage others to use R/exams during various types of mathematics courses, but not only. In addition, the varied output forms such as PDF, HTML or Moodle XML make it very attractive in terms of use. In this article various types of questions are discussed using the example of statistical tasks.

W dobie współczesnej gospodarki opartej na wiedzy niezwykle istotnym zadaniem jest permanentna ocena efektywności kształcenia. Dlatego celem prezentowanego artykułu jest przedstawienie systemu kształcenia zawodowego dla branży transportowej oraz logistycznej na poziomie szkoły średniej wraz z jego oceną skuteczności kształcenia w aspekcie osiąganych efektów przez uczniów/słuchaczy w postaci poziomu zdawalności egzaminów potwierdzających kwalifikacje zawodowe. Zderzenie tych dwóch elementów pozwoliło na sformułowanie licznych istotnych wniosków. Artykuł powstał na podstawie analizy dokumentów formalno-prawnych oraz aktów normatywnych obowiązujących w opisywanym obszarze.

In the era of modern knowledge-based economy, it is not usually an important task to constantly assess the effectiveness of education. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to present the vocational education system for the transport and logistics at the high school level along with its assessment of the effectiveness of education in terms of achieved effects by students / learners in the form of pass rate exams confirming professional qualifications. The clash of these two elements allowed for the formulation of a number of important conclusions. The article was based on the analysis of formal and legal documents and normative acts applicable in the area described.

W publikacji przedstawiono projekt sterownika rozmytego, którego zadaniem jest wykazanie zależności pomiędzy czynnikami stresogennymi, a stresem i zaangażowaniem w pracę studentów przed zbliżającym się terminem oddania pracy czy ważnym egzaminem. Opisywany projekt jest rozwiązaniem w pełni autorskim, którego koncepcją jest stworzenie narzędzia na użytek wykładowców uczelni wyższych. Wprowadzane do sterownika dane generują wynik, który może być zastosowany w celu lepszego zrozumienia studenta i zwiększenia świadomości o problemie czynnika ludzkiego w osiąganych przez słuchacza efektach. W projekcie wykorzystano oprogramowanie Matlab z pakietem Fuzzy Logic Toolbox. Zaprezentowano pracę układu w oparciu o próbki danych testowych, które symulują czynniki stresogenne. Przedstawiono płaszczyzny sterowania, które umożliwiają analizę pracy układu oraz zaprezentowano wyniki symulacji układu w pakiecie Simulink z zadanymi wartościami sygnałów wejściowych.

The publication describes a project of a fuzzy controller which demonstrates the relationship between stress factors and stress, commitment to student work before the deadline or an important exam. This project is an original solution made by the authors, the concept of which is to create a tool for university lecturers. The data generated by the fuzzy controller indicate a result which might be used to better understand the student as well as increasing the awareness of the human factor problem in the results obtained by the student. The project uses Matlab software with the Fuzzy Logic Toolbox. The authors present the performance of the system based on text data samples for the research, which simulate stress factors. The article also presents control surfaces, due to which it is possible to analyse the controller’s performance and show the simulation process with the preset input values, in the Simulink software package.

In the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora Jagiellonian University, with the support of the Distance Learning Centre at the Jagiellonian University was introduced an innovative method of examination based on empowering the students. During the 2014 session, the students were invited to create test questions. Accepted by the lecturer questions were used on the exam. Extensive “Questions Bank” may be used in subsequent examinations 2.0. The authors of the paper present practical advice on how to prepare and carry out such an examination. They share know how of practical suggestions from pedagogical to technical aspect of moving from teaching to learning while using the idea of Questions Bank. They discuss the impact on the motivation and creativity of students, the principles of achievement and assessment, methods of verifying the content of the questions and technical measures to make questions and hindering cheating. The use of innovative methods of preparing and conducting the exam based on the Questions Bank had a positive impact on the mobilization and involvement of students, which resulted in a very good performance evaluation questionnaires of the lecturer.

Artykuł podejmuje istotny temat związany z przeżywanym stresem egzaminacyjnym przez osoby podchodzące do egzaminu na prawo jazdy. Dla wielu osób , w większości bardzo młodych , jest to nowe i trudne doświadczenie, muszą oni bowiem radzić sobie z egzaminem w którym weryfikacji podlega wiedza i umiejętności nabyte podczas kursu prawa jazdy. Podczas egzaminu większości osobom towarzyszy silny stres narastaniu, któremu sprzyja świadomość ,iż w przeciwieństwie do większości egzaminów do których osoby zdające dotychczas podchodziły, jest to egzamin praktyczny, w czasie , którego muszą one szybko i trafnie podejmować decyzje uwzględniając sytuację na drodze. Musza przy tym wykazać się dobrym panowaniem nad pojazdem, refleksem i znajomością zasad ruchu drogowego. Z taką rzeczywistością spotykają się często się po raz pierwszy - jest ona dla nich nowa, co dodatkowo potęguje uczucie stresu, który niejednokrotnie uniemożliwia pozytywne zdanie egzaminu. Autorka zastanawia się jam można skutecznie radzić sobie z tym problemem i na co w procesie szkolenia i egzaminowania powinno się położyć nacisk, aby zdający nie „oblewali” egzaminów tylko dlatego, że nie poradzili sobie ze stresem egzaminacyjnym ale aby weryfikacja wiedzy i umiejętności, która została przez nich nabyta na kursach była jak najbardziej skuteczna.

The article presents the important subject of examination stress affecting people taking driving test. For many people, most of them very young, driving test is a new and difficult experience. They have to deal with a practical exam which verifies knowledge and skills acquired during the driving course. During the examination the majority of people suffer from strong stress. The stress is increasing especially when a person is aware that, unlike most exams, it is a practical examination during which he or she need to make decisions quickly and accurately taking into account the situation on the road. A candidate must at the same time demonstrate a good mastery of the vehicle, his reflexes and the knowledge of traffic road rules. This situation is often new to the candidates and this fact intensifies the feeling of stress which prevents people from passing the test. The author asks the question how this problem can be effectively solved and what should be emphasized in the process of training and testing so as the examinee would not fail the exams only because he does not cope with examination stress. It is important for the exam to verify the knowledge and skills that people have acquired during courses as effectively as possible.

This paper presents innovative software “Egzamin” for examination used in Post-Secondary Maritime School in Szczecin. Presented software, unlike other similar programs, allows the assessment of student skills based on the task as a test of closed and open. The software is based on a databases working in the computer local network. The software is allowed to backup all exams including student’s personal data, evaluation of all responses and time taken to solve each task. The software can also be used in e-learning.

Głośny szum medialny wokół zmian wprowadzonych Ustawą o kierujących pojazdami sprawił, że ostatnio w branży motoryzacyjnej stała się ona tematem numer jeden. Zmiany te, obowiązujące od 19 stycznia 2013 roku, dotyczą między innymi podwyższenia limitów wiekowych dla kandydatów na kierowców poszczególnych kategorii prawa jazdy, wprowadzenia dodatkowych kategorii prawa jazdy oraz zmian w sposobie egzaminowania przyszłych kierowców.

Do egzaminu na prawo jazdy przygotowujemy się w życiu średnio jeden raz. Wyjątkowo tylko więcej, rozszerzając na przykład kategorie uprawnień, czy poddając się sprawdzeniu kwalifikacji, na które zostaliśmy karnie skierowani. Niestety, z czasem zdobyta wiedza słabnie. Niektóre wiadomości uciekają z głowy, poszczególne czynności za kierownicą zaczynamy wykonywać rutynowo.

W artykule przedstawiona została metoda testowania wyobraźni przestrzennej, którą wykorzystano jako element egzaminów wstępnych na Wydziale Wzornictwa Przemysłowego Uniwersytetu Technicznego w Koszycach (Słowacja). Autorka opisała sposób przeprowadzenia testów, opis statystyczny uzyskanych wyników oraz ich związek z oceną uzdolnień plastycznych kandydatów na w/w studia. Przeprowadzone badania nie wykazały związku między ocenami z testu na wyobraźnię przestrzenną a oceną z uzdolnień plastycznych. W końcowej części artykułu przeprowadzono analizę, której celem jest ustalenie przyczyn takiego stanu.
