Work connected with the obtaining and investigating of the properties of epoxy mortars usually generates high cost. It also takes lots of time and effort. A partial elimination of those drawbacks is possible when the statistical methods of designing the experiment are applied. The article presents partial results of the research into epoxy mortars modified with poly(ethylene terephthalate) glycolysates. The designing of an experiment connected with obtaining and investigating the properties of such mortars as well as the money-saving effect of the application of statistical methods in the production of the above mortars were discussed. The result of the research carried out was the determination of the optimum composition of the designed epoxy mortars. All its parameters describing the output quantities (the properties of the mortars) were obtained as the result of the optimization of the multicriterion decision-making process.
