W artykule przedstawiłem wyniki badań kilkuset wykonanych świadectw charakterystyki energetycznej oraz projektowanych charakterystyk energetycznych dla budynków mieszkalnych. Celem przeprowadzonych badań była próba określenia wpływu zmian w Prawie budowlanym polegających na stopniowym zaostrzaniu wymagań dotyczących energooszczędności projektowanych budynków, a także wprowadzenia Ustawy o charakterystyce energetycznej budynków, której celem było wykonanie prawa Unii Europejskiej, w tym m.in. uporządkowanie wymagań dotyczących zakresu, metod oraz kontroli certyfikacji energetycznej w Polsce. Przeprowadzone przeze mnie badania poddają analizie szereg parametrów projektowanych oraz wznoszonych budynków na przestrzeni ostatnich pięciu lat. Ich wyniki wskazują, że wprowadzone przepisy mogą wywierać niekorzystny wpływ na proces dążenia do standardu nZEB w Polsce.

The article presents the results of research on several hundred energy performance certificates prepared by the author and designed energy characteristics for residential buildings. The purpose of the conducted research was an attempt to determine the impact of changes in the Building law, consisting in gradual tightening of the energy efficiency requirements of the proposed buildings and the introduction of the Act on the energy performance of buildings, the purpose of which was to implement European Union law, including ordering the requirements regarding the scope, methods and control of energy certification in Poland. The research conducted by the author analyzes a number of the parameters of the designed and erected buildings during the last 5 years. Their results indicate that the introduced regulations may have an adverse effect on the process of striving for the nZEB standard in Poland.

Increased interest in environmental protection issues, reduction of pollutants emission to the atmosphere, and in particular the improvement of the energy efficiency of buildings has led to the intensive development of material technology and constructional solutions. One of the fastest growing industries is the one engaged in providing new window technologies. Unfortunately, a new technologies are often related to very high investment costs. The paper shows the relationship between the type of the window and the economic and environmental effect. The main aim of the study is to compare the different types and classes of windows in the context of their impact on the primary energy demand ratio EP and economic efficiency. It was shown, that the payback period for the investment in windows depends on costs of windows as well as on the energy source of the heating system in the building. As a result, the investment payback period varies from few years until several decades.
