The profitability analysis of enhancement of parameters of the thermal insulation of building partitions

The energy saving tendencies, in reference to residential buildings, can be recently seen in Europe and in the world. Therefore, there are a lot of studies being conducted aiming to find technical solutions in order to improve the energy efficiency of existing, modernized, and also new buildings. However, there are obligatory solutions and requirements, which must be implemented during designing stage of the building envelope and its heating/cooling system. They are gathered in the national regulations. The paper describes the process of raising the energy standard of buildings between 1974–2021 in Poland. Therefore, the objective of this study is to show energy savings, which can be generated by modernization of thermal insulation of partitions of existing buildings and by the use of different ways of heat supply. The calculations are made on the selected multi-family buildings located in Poland, with the assumption of a 15 years payback time. It is shown that it is not possible to cover the costs of the modernization works by the projected savings with the compliance to the assumption of 15 years payback time.

Siłownia okrętowa jako element układu energetycznego statku

W artykule zaproponowano zakres osłony bilansowej siłowni okrętowej statku towarowego, będącej częścią składową okrętowego układu energetycznego, obejmującą urządzenia i instalacje przemiany energii paliwa na inne postacie energii, urządzenia obsługujące oraz inne, niebiorące udziału w procesach przemian energetycznych, a niezbędne ze względów bezpieczeństwa i ochrony środowiska. Przyjęty zakres osłony bilansowej pozwala wyznaczyć energię użyteczną, czyli wytworzoną i pomniejszoną o energię zużytą na potrzeby autonomicznej żeglugi, stąd sugerowana nazwa „autonomiczna siłownia okrętowa”. Ten sposób podejścia umożliwia m.in. ocenę skutków energetycznych zastosowania utylizacji ciepła odpadowego na statku.

The paper presents proposal of scope of control surface for marine power plant of merchant ship, being an element of ship’s energy system and consists of devices and energy plants exchanging fuel energy into other kind of energy, auxiliary devices and others irrelevant to the energy conversion processes, but indispensable because of international safety at sea and environmental protection provisions. Accepted scope of control surface allows to derive useful energy, or total generated minus energy consumed for autonomous shipping, this is why the suggested term “autonomous ship’s power plant”. This way makes possible (among others) valuation of results of waste heat recovery system used on board.

Przedstawiono analizę teoretyczną procesu sprężania w wentylatorze opisując przyrost energii w odniesieniu do wieńca lub wentylatora, pozwalający obliczać charakterystykę ciśnienia na podstawie wyników eksperymentu wykonanego w przekrojach poprawnego pomiaru.

A theoretical analysis of the compression process in a fan is presented taking into account energy gain with respect to the fan rim or to the fan. It enables calculation of the pressure characteristic on the basis of the result of an experiment, carried out in a proper crosssection measurement.
