W artykule przedstawiono możliwość wykorzystania fal elektromagnetycznych o dużej częstotliwości w celu zmniejszenia emisji toksycznych składników spalin. Omówiono budowę cząsteczek poszczególnych składników spalin w aspekcie oddziaływania na nie fal elektromagnetycznych. Zaprezentowano koncepcję nowatorskiego systemu zmniejszającego emisję.

Possibilities of use of high frequency electromagnetic waves to decrease of the exhaust gas toxic components have been presented in article. The individual structure of exhaust gas components in aspect of electromagnetic waves effect on them have been talked over. The conception of innovative system reducing exhaust emission has been also presented.

The probe of use of heat storage to decrease the exhaust gas toxic components emission during cold start and warming up phase of SI engine has been undertaken in this work. For this purpose the research method enabling the analysis of processes occurring at each stage of engine warming up phase as well as the probe of evaluating that period in aspect of exhaust gas toxic components emission have been elaborated. There were led investigations of the standard engine and next the investigations of engine equipped with the heat storage in cooling system. Before test stand investigations has been done the theoretical analysis of co-operation of the heat storage with engine cooling system. There were done heat transfer calculations and characteristics of co-operation of chosen heat storage with investigated engine cooling system. Test stand investigations were led in aspect of use of heat storage to decrease the emission of exhaust gas toxic components during cold start of engine and warming up phase showed full usefulness of investigated heat storage.
