The paper presents an analytical method for determining the pollutant emission of transport modes, based on emission indicators for various vehicle types and statistical data. The method developed enables the determination of the emission of various vehicle types without the need to carry out tests on real vehicles. The purpose of this paper is to compare the vehicle emission results obtained using the developed analytical method with the real-world results obtained in RDE tests based on a case study, i.e. an analysis of the emission of passenger transport modes in Warsaw. The paper contains a summary of the results of measurements and calculations, as well as an analysis of potential areas of application for the developed analytical method.

W artykule przedstawiono czynniki wpływające na jakość powietrza, szczególnie czynniki antropogeniczne mające wpływ na powstawanie i utrzymywanie się smogu na terenach aglomeracji miejskich. Zwrócono uwagę na znaczenie struktury urbanistycznej miejscowości oraz warunków gospodarczo – społecznych. Zasadniczą część pracy stanowi analiza czynników wpływających na wielkość emisji ze źródeł stacjonarnych i mobilnych oraz warunków technicznych emisji, które decydują o jej uciążliwości. Przedstawiono także propozycje działań koniecznych dla ograniczenia negatywnego oddziaływania źródeł smogu, przyjmując za kryterium efektywność tych działań.

The paper presents factors that affect air quality and particularly anthropogenic factors affecting the emergence and persistence of smog in urban agglomeration. Drew attention to the importance of the urban structure and of the economic and social conditions. An essential part of the work, is the analysis of the factors affecting emissions from stationary and mobile sources and the conditions of emission that decides about its harmfulness. The proposals for necessary action to reduce the negative impact of the smog sources are also describes.

Jak pokazują szczegółowo przeprowadzone analizy, udział samochodów w emisjach pyłów jest zdecydowanie większy niż to przedstawiają oficjalne dane zaprezentowane m.in. w programach ochrony powietrza. Nadal jednak nie wiadomo, jaki jest ilościowy i procentowy udział pojazdów w emisjach.
