Radioactive aerosols in the confined workplace are a major source of internal exposure hazards for workers. Cloud-type radioactive aerosol elimination system (CRAES) have great potential for radioactive aerosol capture due to their high adsorption capacity, lack of cartridges and less secondary contamination. A CRAES was designed and constructed, and a FeOOH/rGO composite was directly prepared by a hydro-thermal method to characterise and analyse its morphology, chemical structure and removal efficiency for simulated radioactive aerosols. The results show that the FeOOH/rGO composite works in synergy with the CRAES to effectively improve the removal efficiency of simulated radioactive aerosols. A 30-minute simulated radioactive aerosol removal rate of 94.52% was achieved when using the experimentally optimized composite inhibitor amount of 2 mg/L FeOOH/rGO with 0.2 g/L PVA as a surfactant. Therefore, the CRAES coupled with the composite inhibitor FeOOH/rGO has broad application potential for the synergistic treatment of radioactive aerosols.

This study aims to identify and quantify the economic benefits of eliminating collisions between two transport systems: rail and inland waterway transport. The collision between transport systems is caused here by the obsolete structure of a railway drawbridge, which constitutes an element of the railway line used by freight and passenger transport and is located on the main inland waterway used by inland waterways freight transport. Railway transport results in limitations of inland waterway transport and, vice versa, inland waterways transport blocks railway transport during lifting of the bridge span. In the case of railway transport, the low capacity of the single-track railway bridge constitutes an additional limitation of the development of transportation. There are plans to eliminate the collision in the regional transport system by constructing a new railway bridge in place of the old drawbridge. The effects of the transportation infrastructure improvement were measured directly for both rail and inland water freight systems as well as the result of the interaction between passenger rail and car and bus transport. In order to compare the different types of impact, the effects of different actions were valued in monetary terms. The planned intervention, as investigated here, will lead to reductions in the cost of time of inland waterways freight transport and costs of time of rail passenger and freight transport and a decrease in the external costs of transport. This will make possible transportation services that are both cheaper and more reliable.

The article presents the results regarding the elimination of constraints in the production process of a power equipment subassembly, a boiler chamber, together with an analysis of the benefits resulting from this, both financial and non-financial. The significance of bottlenecks in the production process, ways of its identification and limitations - in general - are presented. The article is a case-study of an attempt to eliminate the bottleneck in the production process of the boiler chamber, which turned out to be the process of drilling and marking-off, and work stations representing these processes. In order to eliminate the limitation, it was decided to replace the existing tracing and drilling work with a numerically controlled device - a boring machine moved from the liquidated department.. As a result, labor-intensive, manual chambers marking-off and the process of drilling holes with a smaller diameter drill have been eliminated. A number of benefits has been demonstrated resulting from the elimination of the bottleneck in the process, first of all, it was possible to reduce the duration of the marking-off and drilling operations and reduce the costs of the boiler chamber production process.

We present a binary analysis framework based on symbolic execution with the distinguishing capability to execute stepwise forward and also backward through the execution tree. It was developed internally at Bitdefender and code-named RIVER. The framework provides components such as a taint engine, a dynamic symbolic execution engine, and integration with Z3 for constraint solving. In this paper we will provide details on the framework and give an example of analysis on binary code.

W przeprowadzonym doświadczeniu pozwoliło wyeliminować rośliny konkurencyjne pozwalając na optymalny rozwój roślin uprawnych. Barierą we wprowadzeniu takiego rozwiązania na skalę przemysłową pozostaje duże zużycie energii w czasie trwania procesu oraz długi czas ekspozycji organizmu na promieniowanie.

The use of microwaves to eliminate biological systems is feasible and beneficial from an environmental point of view. The experiment has demonstrated that microwave radiation helps eradicate competing plants, thereby enabling the optimal growth of cultivated plants. However, the high energy consumption during the process, and the prolonged exposure of the body to the radiation of 0.000158 m/s remain the main barriers to implementing this solution on an industrial scale.

The activated sludge method is most frequently used at the stage of biological waste water treatment. The main reason for improper sludge sedimentation is the excessive growth of filamentous bacteria leading to disturbances in technological processes of sewage treatment plants, such as formation of swollen, flowing out sludge, foam transforming in to a thick surface scum, which consequently contributes to a decrease in the effectiveness of removing pollutions from sewage. There is a growing tendency to make attempts aiming at optimizing the chemical methods used to eliminate filamentous bacteria which often constitute a factor limiting proliferation of those bacteria. Accordingly, research was undertaken to estimate the effect of some iron and aluminum coagulants and oxidizing compounds (chlorine dioxide and sodium hypochlorite) on the elimination of filamentous bacteria in the activated sludge in the aspect of sewage treatment effectiveness. Activated sludge was collected from the mechanical and biological sewage treatment plant situated in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian voivodeship. The study was carried out using a laboratory biological reactor graduated to reflect the technological parameters of the sewage treatment plant. Analyses involved determination of physicochemical parameters (total suspensions, sludge volumetric index, sludge density index) and the microscopic evaluation of activated sludge (floc parameters, the composition of microfauna, the Sludge Biotic Index, the quantitative and species composition of filamentous bacteria). At the next stage of the experiment, water solution of iron chloride, water solution of polyaluminum chloride, chlorine dioxide and sodium hypochlorite were proportioned to the activated sludge. At the same time, samples of activated sludge were analyzed without chemical reagents. After a week, the effect of applied reagents on the quantitative and species composition of filamentous bacteria and the other components of activated sludge biocenosis was evaluated. It was proved that activated sludge subjected to analyses was characterized by poor sedimentation properties, resulted from the excessive proliferation of filamentous bacteria of which the most numerous, dominant group was the species Microthrix parvicella. Best effects of filamentous bacteria elimination were recorded after the use of aluminum coagulant, which selectively affected filamentous microorganisms, effectively limiting their excessive proliferation and at the same time not exerting the negative impact on the other organisms of activated sludge. The preparation affected favorable values of the Sludge Biotic Index, which did not substantially differ from that parameter in the control sample. Polyaluminum chlorite caused elimination of the bacteria Sphaerotilus natans and a considerable decrease in the numbers of type 0041micro-organisms. At the same time that preparation contributed to improving sedimentation properties of activated sludge flocs, as a result of which the volumetric index values were decreased in successive research samples, whereas the density index increased. The applied sodium hypochlorite contributed to the elimination of filamentous bacteria, and at the same time it slightly decreased the other parameters of activated sludge. It was indicated that chlorine dioxide contributed to a considerable decrease in diversity of activated sludge microfauna, causing a decrease in the number of crawling ciliates on the flocs and sedentary forms of those macroorganisms. Moreover an increase in the number of bacteriocidal free-floating protozoa and small flagellates resulted in a substantial decrease in the IBO value. The highest doses of reagent caused impoverishment of the biocenosis, which resulted in a decrease in the biotic index values by 7 units in relation to the control sample, activated sludge in those samples was qualified as IV class of sludge quality. The best effects in filamentous bacteria elimination were recorded after the use of aluminum preparation and chlorine compounds (chlorine dioxide, sodium hypochlorite).

New laws are likely which will make putting autoclaved aerated concrete (ACC) into landfills more difficult in the future. Consequently, a project was launched at Xella to reduce the sulphate content in AAC to almost zero. Positive side effects are no risk of thaumasite, agglomeration residue of lime and grey stains. The biggest source of sulphate besides cement is the pure calcium sulphate, which is added either as gypsum or anhydrite to the mixture. Additional calcium sulphate has been used in AAC to improve its material properties for many years. The reduction of calcium sulphate in ordinary cementitious AAC recipes leads to highs shrinkage and less compressive strength of the material. Sulphate free AAC with a low bulk density is not yet being made in mass production. Due to the lag of the hydraulic binder cement, completely sulphate free recipes could not be handled in technologies like Durox, Hebel or Ytong yet. Cement and sulphate free ACC cakes tend to collapse either in the demoulding or autoclaving process, and especially low densities are difficult to process. Technological solutions and recipes were found to produce cement and sulphate free AAC with low bulk densities in moulds with the size of 5,4 m 3 . The material meets the requirements for the German bulk density class PP2/0,35 with λ 0,09 W/(mK). The shrinkage tests show values under 0,20 mm/m according to to DIN EN 680. Finally, it was shown that cement free recipes lead to fewer transportation damages due to less brittle surfaces. Further research is currently in progress.

Niezawodność systemu zaopatrzenia w wodę stanowi istotny czynnik zaspokojenia potrzeb odbiorców w zakresie dostawy odpowiedniej ilości wody o jakości zgodnej z wymaganiami prawnymi oraz w dogodnej dla konsumenta porze [2, 3]. dla poprawy niezawodności pracy systemu przedsiębiorstwa wodociągowe podejmują wiele przedsięwzięć związanych z remontami i modernizacją istniejącego uzbrojenia. Bardzo ważną kwestią staje się wówczas zgodne z przepisami postępowanie dotyczące sieci, które w ramach podejmowanych działań kwalifikują się do likwidacji. Przy czym ważna jest nie tylko techniczna strona zagadnienia, ale również kwestie formalne wynikające z przepisów podatkowych. Przedmiotem artykułu jest przedstawienie wskazówek dla prawidłowego postępowania przy likwidacji środków trwałych, jakimi są odcinki sieci wodociągowej.

Reliability of Water Supply System in an important factor of satisfaction to customers. need for delivery of suficient quantity of high quality water which shoult be also supplied at convenient time [2, 3]. For improving the reliability companies take a number of projects related to the regular repairing and modernisation of existing equipment. It is very important that the procedures concerning the water supply networks, which are classified to the elemination, should obey the rules and only technical problems but also tax regulations shoult be taken into account. The object of the article is to provide guidance for proper conducting the elimination of some sections in water supply system.

W artykule za pomocą metody aksjomatycznej przedstawiono pod-stawy rozszerzonej algebry algorytmów. Algebra ta obejmuje operacje sekwencjonowania, eliminowania, zrównoleglenia, rewersowania oraz cyklicznego sekwencjonowania, eliminowania i zrównoleglenia, wykonywane na unitermach. Podano definicję algorytmu, do jakiego ma zastosowanie rozszerzona algebra algorytmów. Istotę zdefiniowanych operacji rozszerzonej algebry algorytmów zilustrowano za pomocą rysunków. Na przykładzie pokazano jej zastosowanie. Opis porównano z opisem algorytmów, otrzymywanym za pomocą klasycznej algebry algorytmów.

Very often algorithms are described verbally or like a unit - diagram. The well known methods offering algorithms are: Post [1], Turing [2], Aho-Ullman-Hopcroft [3] or Schönhage [4] virtual machines, recursive functions (calculus λ, Church) [5], Markov algorithms [6], b-complexes of Kolmogorov (Kolmogorov machine) [7], Krinitski universal algorithms [8], and algorithm algebra [9]. It is obvious that verbal methods, and methods of unit - diagram, as well as, algorithm methods [1] - [8] are depicted by the intuition, not formally. Only by means of the algorithm algebra, the algorithm description is getting into the formulae form, on abstract and meaningful levels. The transformation and investigation of their trustworthiness can be made on formulae of algorithms with minimization target, by the specific operations. These advantages of algebra algorithms beyond other methods of algorithm description make a ground for it's using. Classical algorithm algebra [9] manipulates over conditional uniterms, which are delivered only two meanings (e.g. "yes" and "no" or "0" and "1").Very often conditional uniterm can deliver more than two meanings. For example, automation systems are operated in a plenty of regimes. Score parameters are controlled in checking systems. It is possible to describe the algorithms which contain more than 2 conditions by means of classical algebra algorithms. These formulae - algorithms are complicated for apprehension. To avoid possible mistakes, the expansion of the algorithm algebra is presented in the paper.

W artykule omówiono najczęściej występujące przyczyny i miejsca zwarć łukowych w układach średnich napięć w energetyce i w przemyśle. Biorąc pod uwagę "naturę" zwarcia łukowego, odniesiono się do kwestii łukoodpor-ności rozdzielnic. Omówiono dostępne sposoby zwiększenia odporności (łukochronności) urządzeń i ochrony personelu eksploatacyjnego. Odniesiono się również do identyfikowania zwarć doziemnych, w następstwie których często powstają zwarcia łukowe.

In the last few years we could observe dynamic changes in the methods of collecting data of objects and in qualitative characteristics of the information gathered. A relatively new technology is laser scanning (LIDAR) both aerial (ALS) and terrestrial (TLS). In LIDAR technology objects are represented by point clouds, which after proper filtration and classification can be useful to define an object and its parameters and features. Great number of measuring points causes often indeterminacy or ambiguity both in geometry and concerning the attributes of the object examined. In this paper the problem discussed refers to the use of triangulation in elimination and classification process of point clouds gathered from terrestrial laser scanning and using algorithms of point filtration allowing to eliminate points not belonging to any object. This algorithm was based on the analysis of 3D surrounding points and the classification takes advantage of the well known Delaunay algorithm. Identification of objects was based on their geometrical properties. Testing of developed algorithms was carried out on point clouds obtained from TLS gathered on forest inventory plots.

Elimination of objects in any database must be based on their earlier sorting. This is one of numerous problems we come across during the process of digital generalization of objects. Obtaining a clear classification of objects usually leads to too extensive development of the domain of descriptive attributes. The author tries to prove that it is useful to make structural regions for the network of linear objects such as roads, rivers or railways for the classification of objects, using the smallest number of attributes. The created classification allows automatic elimination of the network objects. To illustrate the mentioned above issues a fragment of a topographic database was selected. It was the layer of the road network. In the paper, the problem of necessary conditions to form regions is also presented as well as the way of classification of created regions. After making the classification of structural regions of the road network, the process of automatic elimination of regions is presented. It is made by the aggregation with one of the neighboring regions. Elimination through aggregation is based on fully automatic processes and verifiable values of attributes. The carried out process is independent from the situation of objects and the applied software, although it requires application of the accepted model of data.

Elimination of the unprofitable product should take place only when there is fulfilled criterion of profitability of such dropping. This criterion, expressed in categories of the ABC concept says that only when the increase in the cost of unused capacity is not bigger than the loss absolute value on the eliminated product, then its elimination doesn't lead to the decrease in profit of the company. Using this criterion by the rational managers results in the lack of automatic connection between the use of the ABC concept and the offerings shrinkage. After using this criterion to each individual case of unprofitable product, depending on the result, it is possible to maintain given product-mix or stopping its production, or even it is possible to take a decision about extending the offerings by new products which are unprofitable in the system of the cost of used resources.

Eliminacja nierentownego produktu powinna następować tylko wtedy, gdy jest spełnione kryterium opłacalności takiej eliminacji. Kryterium to wyrażone za pomocą kategorii koncepcji ABC mówi, że tylko wtedy, gdy przyrost kosztów niewykorzystanej zdolności produkcyjnej jest nie większy od bezwzględnej wartości straty na eliminowanym produkcie jego eliminacja nie prowadzi do spadku zysku. Przestrzeganie tego kryterium przez racjonalnych menedżerów powoduje, że nie ma żadnego automatycznego związku między stosowaniem koncepcji ABC, a zmniejszaniem się liczby asortymentów, oferowanych przez przedsiębiorstwo. Do zastosowania tego kryterium do każdego indywidualnego przypadku nierentownego produktu w zależności od wyniku możliwe jest utrzymanie danego asortymentu, albo zaprzestanie jego produkcji.

A new method of synthesis of bicyclic gamma-lactones with the methyl- or gem-dimethylcyclopropane system from gamma,delta unsaturated esters is described. The reaction of gamma-halo delta- lactones with DBU is the key step of this synthesis. The mechanism of the dehydrohalogenation- cyclization process of gamma-halo-delta-lactones is proposed. The structures of products were confirmed by both spectroscopic and crystallographic methods.

Ustawa o ubezpieczeniu społecznym rolników zobowiązała Kasę Rolniczego Ubezpieczenia Społecznego m. in. do podejmowania starań o właściwą produkcją i dystrybucję bezpiecznych środków stosowanych w rolnictwie oraz sprzętu i odzieży ochronnej dla rolników. Działania Kasy w zakresie tego obowiązku przejawiają się, zarówno w promowaniu wyrobów bezpiecznych w gospodarstwach rolnych, jak również zmniejszania zainteresowania rolników wyrobami wadliwymi. Od producentów środków, których wadliwość była główną lub wyłączną przyczyną wypadku, Kasa dochodzi zwrotu świadczeń wypłaconych poszkodowanym rolnikom. Częściej jednak stosowane są wystąpienia prewencyjne, w których KRUS domaga się usunięcia usterek stwarzających zagrożenia wypadkowe lub poprawienia instrukcji obsługi.

The law on social insurance of farmers obliged the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund, among other things, to make efforts for proper production and distribution of safe means applied in agriculture as well as protective equipment and clothing for farmers. Actions of the Fund Actions of the Fund in the scope of this obligation entail both: promotion of safe products on farms and reduction of the farmer's interest in defective products. From the manufacturers of means whose defectiveness was the main or sole cause of an accident, the Fund enforces return of benefits paid out to injured farmers. However, more often preventive actions are applied, where KRUS demands removal of faults posing accident threats or improvement of the operating manual.

The highly eutrophic lake Burgsee in Bad Salzungen/Thuringia (Abb. 1) was formed by several sinkholes due to tectonic activities. Chemical, physical and biological parameters of lake Burgsee have been examined between 1999 and 2002. The lake water has been treated by an external phosphorus elimination plant (PEP), called Pelicon (Abb. 2), from summer 2000 to fall 2002. The TP content of the water body decreased from 340 kg in 1999 to 60 kg in 2002, abort 751.000 m3 water have been treated during the operation period of Pelicon. After most of the total phosphorus in the pelagial had been eliminated it was to be examined whether the weakly bounded phosphorus complexes in the sediment would be released, but unfortunately there was not enough time to examine that aspect. The water was treated with aluminium salts and iron salts to precipitate the SRP and high levels of hydrogen sulphide. The aluminium concentration in the mixolimnion, i.e. 0-15 m, increased during the project to 78 žg/l, compared to 20 žg/l before the operation of Pelicon. Although Al is described as a toxic agent in fresh waters by several authors, no harmful effects on water organisms could be found nor could have been expected because of the neutral pH range or high Ca loading of lake Burgsee. No distinctive changes in the iron concentrations in the pelagial could be found. Probably there is a correlation between the elimination of about 680 kg hydrogen sulphide and the decrease of the sulphate content.
