Szeroki przegląd sit produkowanych przez firme Progress Eco oraz zastosowanie sit zgrzewanych w w przeróbce węgla, ropy oraz rud uranu został przedstawiony w pierwszej części artykułu w Inżynierii Mineralnej nr 2, 2017 (str. 61–71) (http://www.potopk. com.pl/archiwum.html). Przedstawiono zastosowanie sit zgrzewanych w architekturze.

The paper presents the use of industrial screens produced by the Polish company Progress Eco in the hard coal enrichment plants (PG Silesia in Poland) and the coal waste enrichment plant (Heřmanické heap in Ostrava in the Czech Republic). A wide overview of the screens produced by Progress Eco and the use of welded screens in the processing of coal, oil and uranium ore was presented in the first part of the article in Mineral Engineering No. 2, 2017 (pp. 61-71) (http://www.potopk.com.com/archiwum.html). The use of welded screens in architecture has been presented.

Since the classical publications on lithofacies and architectural element codes (Miall, 1977, 1985), sedimentologists have made several attempts to optimize those codes. The authors present and discuss the codes of lithology and the origin of clastic rocks which have been proposed in the last thirty five years. It appears that the codes hitherto proposed are unsatisfactory because they fail to reflect several important features of deposits. It is postulated that most of Miall’s original rules should be used as a starting point but some additional rules should also be followed: (1) lithofacies symbols should not be used to describe interpretations but lithologic features only; (2) code of texture should contain two capital letters at the most; (3) structure should be described by three lower-case letters at the most; (4) genetic code should indicate depositional process or parent depositional form by capital letters; (5) coding is best applicable in practice if both the lithofacies and genetic codes are used jointly. The present authors propose a modified combination of lithofacies and lithogenetic symbols, shown to make sedimentological analyses more effective and unambigous.

Referat przedstawia usystematyzowanie i sklasyfikowanie różnych płaskich utworów geometrycznych w aspekcie ich występowania w strukturach architektonicznych. Figury geometryczne można zaobserwować dopiero na dwuwymiarowych odwzorowaniach trójwymiarowych budowli (elewacjach, przekrojach, rzutach obiektów budowlanych w każdej skali od detali budowlanych, aż do założeń urbanistycznych), ponieważ są one obiektami płaskimi. Na tej bazie zaprezentowano przykłady przemijania charakterystycznych rodzajów figur w poszczególnych epokach architektonicznych.

Systematics and classification of various geometric objects was presented with regards to their occurrence in architecture structures. As geometric figures are flat, they become noticeable on two-dimensional representations of three-dimensional structures only (façades, cross-sections and building objects projections of all scales - from details to entire urban complexes). Based on this, examples passing the characteristic of geometric figures were presented for selected architecture periods.

Detailedanalysis of lithofacies and their distribution in the Magura Beds in 11 transects in the eastern part of the Siary zone, revealed 16 facies and 6 associations of genetically and spatially related facies. The facies spectrum evidences deposition from a variety of mass gravity processes and subordinately by hemipelagic rain. The facies associations reveal depositional patterns of submarine fans and include: channels, channel-levees, channel-lobe transitions, depositional lobes and slump bodies. Correlation results (9 sections) and facies distribution together with paleocurrent directions suggest that the deposition of this part of Magura Beds took place in a submarine ramp/apron hybrid setting fed from a multipoint source. The depositional pattern of the Magura Beds in the study area records a two-stage development, which began with the emplacement of a sand/mud-rich type system and was followed by a mud-dominated system.
